This dynamic collaboration, consisting of Stacey "Hotwaxx" Hale and Jenny La Femme, melds a distinctive blend of talent and experience, igniting the house music scene with their unique flair.

Stacey "Hotwaxx" Hale: 
Dubbed the "Godmother of House music," Stacey Hale is a Detroit icon whose influence in the genre is unparalleled. Pioneering house music on Detroit's radio airwaves, Hale's eclectic mix of house, funk, gospel, hip hop, and Motown soul distinguishes her sound. From the Apollo Theatre in New York to stages worldwide, her talents have left an indelible mark. Beyond her DJ prowess, Stacey is a dedicated advocate for music education, making significant contributions to the cultural tapestry of the music community. Her induction into the National Museum of African American Music in 2019 stands as a testament to her illustrious career.

Jenny La Femme: 
An embodiment of versatility, Jenny Feterovich, known as DJ Jenny La Femme, is a multifaceted talent in the electronic music world.Starting her journey in the suburbs of Detroit, she became entrenched in the city's burgeoning techno scene. Internationally recognized as a house DJ, Jenny's influence extends beyond the turntables. She is a documentary producer, television showrunner, and entrepreneur, showcasing a passion that transcends music. Through projects like "Girls Gone Vinyl," a documentary highlighting women in electronic music, she actively addresses gender dynamics in the industry.

Presently, Housecats maintain a residency at one of Detroit's premier clubs, underscoring their commitment to uplifting house music and fostering the local music community. Beyond being merely a musical endeavor, Housecats represent a movement that honors the essence of Detroit, seamlessly blending iconic sounds with contemporary beats to craft a truly distinctive experience and spread positivity and happiness.

This past March marked listed's annual pilgrimage to Miami for a melee of musical magic that is Winter Music Conference, the centerpiece of which was once again Friday morning's annual Freaky Tikki boat cruise, an intimate 150 person dawn to lunch time affair. After each delivered incredible performances in 2011, <A HREF="https://www.facebook.com/dannyhowellsdj">Danny Howells</A> and <A HREF="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Cassy-Britton/207845458637"> Cassy</A> returned to the decks, this time deepening their collaboration with an impromptu four hour B2B tag-team extravaganza that followed an oh-so-smooth, steady build <A HREF="http://www.electronicgroove.com/EG335Dory.php">opening set</A> by listed resident <A HREF="https://www.facebook.com/djd0ry">Dory</A>.

<A HREF="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0rxWhVGoZw&hd=1">Sensitive as ever to the environment and vibe</A>, Danny and Cassy laid down a blissful set of classic summertime house music. Bouncy basslines bopping along like butterflies across the beach, with festive flourishes of filtered funk and gravy-smooth grooves greeting the sunshine, carrying an all too merry crowd along for the ride, <A HREF="https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151245453723623.529308.10116133622&type=3">whilst immersed in good company and stellar sound.</A>

The duo's impressive longevity and musical range were on full display as they seamlessly mixed fresh sounds with some tasty vintage selections, digging deeper (as Danny does) all the way back to classics like the Salt City Orchestra's 1998 remix of the Sneaker Pimps "Post-Modern Sleaze" (2hrs38mins) or Global Communication's 1996 "The Way" (2hrs57mins), led by new favorites like Marcus Homm's "Keyframe Signal" (36min) and blending perfectly into modern classics like Dan Ghenacia and Shonky's newly minted "Close to the Edge" (3hrs6mins).  All in all, an amazing auditory adventure and a real treat for those lucky enough to find themselves aboard.
