Friday Lights Music is kicking into the summer of 2018 with Matt Dwellers magical release 'ANKARAZ'. ''Ankaraz is an imaginary place in my mind that I enjoy to get lost in'' as Matt explains it himself. For us, this release is a statement of Matt's sound, fantasy, and abilities. 
The Original mix takes us to Matt's world. It is melodic, minimalistic, groovy and on point. Every time we're playing the original, it never leaves the floor uninterested. We can clearly hear Matt's insane abilities to create a magic trip with his typical 'Less is More'' approach.
Remixes are really epic on this one - each one is so different but at the same time, all are very loyal to the original. 
Ankaraz (Stoertebecker Remix) is giving us the energy and the power version. Sinan's progressive-aggressive approach is exactly the game here and we cannot see how it will not blow any trippin' dance floor. 
Ankaraz (Prosdo Remix) is killing it by the end of the EP. Prosdo's remix is pure techno and how well it suits the original! Kristian takes the main lead and rides it all the way with heavy techno basses, kicks, and percussions. Peak hours are the game here!

PART III: threeninetyonefourtwentytwenty

Torture the Artist celebrates its 5th anniversary with the release of 'fivefourtwentytwentyone', a compilation compiled and mixed by the webzine-founder himself, Holger Breuer, who gathered together 17 exclusive tracks from artists that either have a record or relationship with the online magazine. 'fivefourtwentytwentyone', a numerical and literal abreviation for '5 for TTA', musically varies between Deep House and Disco, it makes an excursion to melodic and more techno-ish takes, it contains edits of current Indie/ Alternative but also Pop-artists and provides its audience with unreleased material from and of scene-heavyweights. The result is an eclectic mix that delivers several approaches to (electronic) music carefully and skillfully put together in a continuous mix that represents Torture the Artist's philosophy, namely that of offering various (mainly melodical) styles of music to its listeners from renowned as well as talented and uprising artists.

'fivefourtwentytwentyone' is released in four parts containing four tracks while each track is available as a FREE DOWNLOAD exclusively via Torture the Artist' Soundcloud-channel. The download-link for the 17th and last track, is unlocked to those who solve a riddle as each of the previously released parts will provide you with a hint.

PART III: threeninetyonefourtwentytwenty
The third part of Torture the Artist's 5th anniversary compilation 'fivefourtwentytwenty' comes with tracks/ edits from Upercent, Lazaros, Foreign Guest, Wewerka, Cook Strummer and Marc Wolf and  are summed up under the code 'threeninetyonefourtwentytwenty', meaning 3 days in 2020.  Valencia genius Upercent delivers a rhytmical homage to the floor with a break(down) that's not only unusual or uncommon but simply stunning and surprising in its sound selection as it even has its secret 'Moments In Love'-touch. The 'art of noise'-master's stomping take 'Amor Mental' then continues with the afore-introduced synths to bring the mental love home. Club-owner, DJ, label-head and producer, ever busy artist Marc Wolf took on Bon Iver's 'Woods' and turns the original in a completely new tune that's as haunting and craving as a Deep-House track can be as the memorable vocal is rather used to support the spooky mental chords and sound arrays than the other way around. Lazaros, best known for his releases on Sum Over Histories or Nautilus Rising, delivers a driving disco-ish take, namely 'Medusa', that is as intriguing as its name sounds and bites the listener with its first beat. The catchy chords in combination with a driving bass line and various tonal and volume changes as well as the implementation of filters' turn Lazaros' track to a proper dance floor stomper. Part III of the compilation is closed by Berliners Foreign Guest, Wewerka and Cook Strummer. While Foreign Guest and Wewerka were responsible for the 'instrumental' part of 'Agonize' Cook Strummer delivered the vocals to this deep, almost techno-seeming track that is so well produced but still edgy and crunchy with its shuffling chords that it can basically fit in a set at any time and any place.

The title track depicts a mental joyride through sinusoidal tones and bleeps with tinny and brazen soundscapes all riding a housey bass line or in other words, Ship Of Fools puts paddle strokes rhythmically and instructionally into shape, visualizing a dark hull filled with dozens of people musically, artistically. ZK Bucket manages to create musical moving paintings with his tracks manifesting profound messages or visuals in his audience's mind and implementing the dark dance gene.
