Delivering our 25th podcast is Belfast native, Richie Blacker. His DJ'ing career began back in 2007 and prior to that already had some knowledge of production. Richie has previously performed at some of the best clubs in Northern Ireland including a regular residency slot at the renowned KINETIK. We fast forward to the current day and Blacker is currently enduring a great spell with a release ('Poltergeist' EP) on Skream's recently established OfUnSoundMind label along with strong performances alongside the likes of Steve Lawler, Mark Knight and others, not to mention his regular slots on the White Isle and elsewhere.

We certainly believe this melodic mix that Richie has crafted for Dance Vici is almost certain to take you on a journey.

Introducing Hungarian DJ, Nora Matisse to the Spotlight series. We first came across Nora on New Years Eve' where she was performing at one of the largest parties in Budapest - from that moment we were very keen to share her musical style with you.

Matisse is based in Budapest and initially found her way into music through playing the Cello, her life has constantly revolved around music whether that be on a DJ/Production basis or with a focus on classical orchestra. Nora took her first steps into playing electronic music in 2011 playing in and around Hungary before moving onto international events and focusing largely on producing original productions and creating artist remixes.

Spotlight 007: Introducing Nora Matisse

Last summer we featured Richie Blacker in our podcast series, he returns to Dance Vici to deliver two hours of the finest melodic techno.

The man from Belfast has sure got his way with tracks when he's behind the decks - He displays the fine ability to fuse together minimal, melodic and techy undertones - wrapping up one of the finest mixes we've heard this year.

Previously holding down a residency at Belfasts' KINETIK as well as performances on the White Isle, Richie is a talent to keep an eye on, a talent for that matter that has already caught the attention of Skream who signed an EP of Richies' to his label OfUnsoundMind. Spotlight 008: Introducing Richie Blacker

Ahead of his hugely anticipated EP release on Skream's Of Unsound Mind, Eli Brown delivers the first podcast of 2017.

Bristol-­based  house  project  Eli  Brown's EP is imminently approaching and will land on Skream's thriving imprint, Of Unsound Mind in March. The release contains four tracks that have been garnering huge praise and support around the world, most recently at EDC Mexico. Eli Brown first began his career under a very well-known drum and bass pseudonym and having demonstrated his ability to perform over a multitude of genres over his ten years behind the decks, Eli is now taking the scene by storm. Other than the incredible energy his production offers up, Skream will have noted similarities between himself and Eli Brown's musical career; strong genre versatility across the dance music industry.

The mix he has produced for Dance Vici is one that'll make you want to get up and dance, so you've been warned! We predict 2017 to be a hugely successful for Eli Brown, so much so that it'll be one that's coined a 'breakthrough' year by many across the industry. 

As well as his upcoming EP, his debut performance is on the horizon, a gig at Junk Club in Southampton supporting Monki on April 1st.

The latest in a growing selection of talented artists to join the Spotlight series is prodigy, Jaden Thompson.

The highly tipped youngster from Gloucester will see his debut EP 'All Day' release on Friday (24/03/17) via The Martinez Brothers imprint, Cuttin' Headz. As well as Chris and Steve, Jaden has turned many heads in the industry and garnered support from the likes of Pete Tong on his BBC R1 show, Loco Dice and Seth Troxer!

It's easy to see what The Martinez Brothers saw in Thompson as a producer, his jackin' house style is much akin to the brothers and his rhythmic flow throughout the spotlight mix is upbeat, energetic and down right groovey. There will be plenty to come from Jaden Thompson in the near future and we're delighted to be sharing an hour of him showcasing what he's all about so early on in his career.

Spotlight 010: Introducing Jaden Thompson

The 23 year-old Techno producer known as Billy Turner joins the Dance Vici podcast series. The Crawley-born artist released his debut EP on Skream's Of Unsound Mind label at the tail end of last year and has since seen his productions being played out by a plethora of artists like Scuba and the already mentioned, Skream. At the tail-end of 2016 Billy was named by BBC Radio 1Xtra DJ Monki in her 'Ones to watch' show. He has recently released his 'Rosebud' EP on 'Of Unsound Mind' and has been garnering quiet a name for himself after performances at Fabric & Stealth in Nottingham.

His hour mix is exactly what we expected from Billy and more, a no holds barrage of deep and destructive techno. These traits along with otherworldly sounds and 'lose yourself' feelings throughout the mix is exactly what's establishing himself in the underground at the moment.

The multi-faceted German techno producer Carlo Ruetz joins us to deliver a wave of deep and hypnotic grooves in Podcast 39. Ruetz, an artist who's seen releases on a plethora of highly regarded labels such as Richie Hawtins' MINUS,  SCI+TEC and ELEVATE first burst into the underground scene with his aptly named track 'Breakthrough' back in 2013.

His latest productions come in the form of his 'Creatures' EP released on Matador's profoundly charged RUKUS label last month. The release goes far in displaying Carlo's fine eye for detail when it comes to searching for unexpected sounds and unique arrangements - Hawtin, a leading legend of the techno scene holds him as an artist to drive the next generation of MINUS artists, it is this alone that paints Ruez character in a admirable light.

We're very happy to host the sounds of this newly grounded techno connoisseur and with more clubs and festivals paying attention to the distinctive Carlo Ruetz brand of music we fully expect to hear more from this overnight veteran on the cusp of the leading edge of minimal techno.

The duo based in the UK have been garnering quiet a name for themselves both locally and abroad through their regular appearances in Birmingham and Coventry for club night LOOP and most recently at Portal - appearing on the same bill as Skream, Jamie Jones et al.

The brothers are not only making waves with their DJ performances but also their productions and their 'low-swung' style and approach to tech-house. So much so, that their tracks have been picked up and played by the likes of Marco Carola, Joey Daniel and Leon over the past year.

With over two decades of touring, performances and productions to her name Fatima Hajji has experienced almost everything there is to experience in the music industry. 

The Spanish DJ, of Moroccan descent, hasn't been resting on her laurels and using her past to project her future - far from it - with a bustling start to 2018, the techno titan has already released on Unity Records and has big plans for her very own Silver M imprint; with Hajji releasing the 'Melodream' EP on the label this month.

The Madrid-based producer has an illustrious schedule of international gigs and in the past it has included shows at London's EGG Club, Amsterdam Dance Event, Barcelona's Razzmatazz and more. Looking forward, Fatima Hajji will be performing at Eden's opening party in Ibiza on the 23rd May for Christian Smith's Tronic showcase. 

Her Dance Vici mix is full-throttle, techno muscle from start to finish and we couldn't be happier to welcome the high-energy, mixing capabilities of Fatima to the podcast series.

Kevin Kendall, of Nashville, United States, is our latest guest to be invited to record a mix for the Spotlight series. The deep-rooted and classic house vibes of Kendall have so far been based in the States but sprinkled exposure into Europe has come in the form of Spanish label Minuendo Recordings, with his 'Go Easy' EP. His upcoming release, the 'Tell You' EP, becomes available on Bamboo Playground later this month; a four-tracker, accompanied by a BLS remix on the lead single. 

His sultry beats and signature style of deep and immersive, yet playful house is grounded in the foundations of this release. Black Light Smoke reworks 'Tell You' into a highly charged tech-house weapon.

Spotlight 018: Introducing Kevin Kendall

We're delighted to now be presenting our 50th podcast of the series, so much talent has been presented thus far and that well and truly continues with the addition of 22 year-old, Calvin Logue. The young Scottish producer has had bookings in Ibiza at the likes of Space, Sankeys, Cafe Mambo and Amnesia to date, thanks to a flurry of mesmerising performances at his infamous local haunt, The Arches. 

These elevated performances have allowed Calvin to showcase his own energetic and out-right dominant productions on the grand stage and has resulted in them garnering wild support from industry giants, Adam Beyer, Dense & Pika and Kölsch.

His latest production, 'Less Is More' was released in April on Spinnin' Deep and has only propelled his well deserved growth both as a producer and a DJ. Citing his inspiration from heroes like Cirez D and Alan Fitzpatrick, it's clear to see why his music has been making the enormous impact it has; the exclusive mix he's completed for us today is jam-packed full of dark and driving techno - no rest for the wicked over the next 60 minutes.

The next few years on the music-front look very positive indeed for Calvin Logue and it's a pleasure to support him so early on in his career like we have for other artists in the podcast series.

Many will be familiar with his work as ‘Scope’ on labels such as NRK, Urbantorque and Large, ‘South West Seven’ on labels such as Kolour LTD, On The Prowl and Solardisco and most recently as ‘Montel’ on labels such as Toytonics, Let’s Play House and Knee Deep In Sound. 

The man’s passion for real ‘House’ music knows no bounds and the various name’s he releases under allow him to channel his sounds.
Ric’s sound as ‘Sun Runner’ sees him delve deep into Disco, Jazz, Funk and Slow Groove while fusing it with uptempo House elements.

The Brazilian techno DJ who's been noted for her dynamism, flare, and explosive mixes has now completed an exclusive mix for Dance Vici. Fernanda Martins, as well as rocking dancefloors on an international scale, is also an A&R Manager and Record label owner at both Devotion Records and Audiocode. Her style, as you will hear, bears an intense energy and would certainly fall into the purest form of hard-hitting techno.

Martins has played in prestigious venues around the world at the likes of the Gashouder for Awakenings, totaling shows in over 30 different countries to date. It's a pleasure to welcome the talented DJ to the series.

Tommy Vercetti joins the series with an hour of bumping house and feel-good vibes from his mix; featuring music on the likes of Luuk van Dijk, Javi Bora and some unreleased numbers from himself. The 24 year-old producer first burst onto the scene back in 2016 and since then he's not looked back, firing out releases on highly acclaimed imprints like Do Not Sleep, Eton Messy and Simma Black.

Mark Bradbury, otherwise known by his Rudosa alias, is a Manchester-based DJ and Producer who's had his music played out by almost all of the techno heavyweights; from Richie Hawtin through to Joseph Capriati and Adam Beyer, they have all continually supported Rudosa's dynamic releases. 

His sound is raw, deep and driven and is a testament to his rigorous production technique, one that he is known for through his many years of running MakeMeADJ . The business,  established in 2008, has grown into one of the most recognised music schools in the UK with some of the very best tutors around. 

Rudosa is on the cusp of releasing 'The Quest', a track packed full of intensity, building into a synthesized-induced melody that surfaces with euphoria, power, and class. We're stoked to have Rudosa involved and we're absolutely sure you'll be digging the quintessential mix he's put together for us.

Our next guests in the podcast series have been working their way into the eyes and ears of many in recent months; KUSP, based in the UK, only began their project in April of this year and have since seen their productions and edits support by the likes of Boxia, Spektre, Vinicius Honorio, Gaist, Brennen Grey and Alan Fitzpatrick.

Arguably one of their most exciting gigs to date will see the duo feature on the same bill as Amelie Lens and personal favourite of ours (who's also featured in our podcast series), Rudosa.

Bolivian-born IVA steps into the limelight to deliver a murky and undulating mix of atmospheric techno that'll have you mesmerised for its duration.

We were first introduced to IVA through a chance meeting at ADE earlier this year; we were very impressed with what she'd achieved in such little time and of course, with what Derrick May's Transmat agency had to say.

IVA first began her career by training as a drummer, helping to aid her eventual course into electronic music some years later - since this she's gone on to share the stage with colossal names like Derrick May, Anja Schneider and John Digweed. 

A mix inspired by her summer DJ sets at some of the biggest electronic music festivals in Europe, for next year IVA refocuses her efforts on production and is currently in the studio preparing several remixes as well as her first EP which will be dropping regularly throughout 2019.

Her sound is very much an encapsulating one, offering deep and dark undertones that coincide with deviant basslines and a constant journey into the unknown; unpredictable, but fully encapsulating.

Our first Spotlight mix of the year welcomes New Yorker, Zaid Abdulrahim to the series. Beginning as a dancer in the 1980's, Zaid is well versed when it comes to having an ear for rhythmic and pervasive dance music.

His ventures into production and DJ'ing have been a growing success with his latest release, 'Sextape' perking the ears of many in the industry, prior to its' release on 12th of this month. The previously rated #1 DJ by Resident Advisor, Dixon, has also been hammering Zaid's music, as seen and heard at CDMX, Mexico when he played 'Maximum Curves'.

The mix is full of pumping and energetic House and Techno, fit for an adventurous dancefloor and we're proud to host such a cultured and eclectic mix of flavorsome sounds.

We invited Buenos Aires DJ, Lolu Menayed to deliver a finely assembled mix of deep-grooved beats; House at its' core, the 60-minute journey encapsulates with its minimal flow and fluid trajectory.

The Argentinian DJ has a strong following in the country, having appeared at some of the countries most respected clubs including Pacha Buenos Aires, La Boite in Tucuman and Dorian Gray in Córdoba. Lolu also produces and has seen her music released on the likes of Hermine Records, Xima, Unlock and Smiley Fingers.

Aaryon makes his debut on the esteemed Yoshitoshi imprint with the 'Nos' EP. We premiere 'Away', a collaboration with Underher that does away with the 4x4 template and instead, opts to encapsulate with a complex triplet-based groove. Couple this with its ominous, pitched-down vocals and experimental flow and we've got a very interesting track in our hands.

Aaryon, the Spanish artist, has been making his name in the techno world with a slew of records on Noir Music, Parquet, Suara and now demonstrates his talents on Yoshitoshi imprint.
