Proudly People return to Revival New York for their first EP on the label with ‘Funky Love’.
With recent releases on elrow, MÜSE, AVOTRE, Deeperfect and Rawthentic, Milan-based duo Proudly People are backing up the early promise shown via EPs on Desolat and Moon Harbour as they continue to grow and evolve. Next up, early October sees a return to Revival New York, following their 2021 remix of ‘Voicebox’ on the label, as the pair reveal their two-track ‘Funky Love’ EP - with early love from Marco Carola, Michael Bibi and wAFF.
Title cut ‘Funky Love’ is a vibrant medley of slick percussion arrangements, sweeping melodies, lively vocal interjections and funky basslines, creating a peppy party-starter, while ‘Get It Right’ keeps things rolling nicely, combining crisp drums, zippy synths and further vocal work to close the show in style.
