Dawn To Dusk

	Driven by a love of experimentation, improvisation, and exploration, Sim-Bitti has been performing their eclectic brand of instrumental jazz, funk, and soul throughout Southwest Montana for over two years. Formed in 2013 in Bozeman, Montana, Sim-Bitti's lineup consists of guitarist Dan Conwell, drummer Aaron Rasmussen, keyboardist Tyler Schultz, and bassist Mark Vaughn. Years of performance experience and familiarity with a wide range of musical styles prompted these musicians to form a band, which is both musically ambitious and viscerally satisfying. Drawing from genres as diverse as Latin, R&B, Jazz, Pop, and Soul, Sim-Bitti has synthesized these styles into a tight yet flexible jazz format. Sim-Bitti’s original compositions employ musical elements such as, metric modulation, modern jazz harmonies, funk-based grooves, and group improvisation.  Along with captivating original material, Sim-Bitti has been know to bring the house down with instrumental versions of popular songs ranging from Paul Simon to Cee-lo Green. The group is as much a band as it is a musical collective, aiming to create contemporary music while paying homage to the artists, songs, and musical traditions that have defined this century.
