Celestial Cassette Tape: My Story

I was in Costa Rica, in the heart of the jungle. I had been feeling disconnected, unsure of where my music was going or if I was even on the right path. Something told me this trip would change that, so I packed up everything, left the noise of the world behind, and ventured into the unknown.

I found myself in a place that felt ancient, alive. The jungle was humming with life—the calls of birds, the rustle of leaves, and a deep, almost imperceptible vibration that seemed to come from the earth itself. I’d heard stories about the spiritual energy of these lands, and I wanted to see for myself.

That night, under a canopy of stars and surrounded by the sounds of the jungle, I decided to take a heroic dose of mushrooms. I wanted answers—not just for my music, but for my soul.

At first, the trip started the way you’d expect. Colors became vivid, the sounds of the jungle turned into a symphony, and I felt this overwhelming sense of connection to everything around me. But then, things shifted.

The jungle seemed to breathe, pulsing with energy, and the trees began to glow faintly. The air thickened, shimmering with light that I couldn’t explain. That’s when I noticed a figure standing ahead of me, deep in the shadows.

I couldn’t move, couldn’t speak. The figure stepped forward, revealing itself—a being unlike anything I’d ever seen. Their body glowed like liquid light, constantly shifting in color and form. They felt both alien and familiar, like they were part of me. They didn’t speak, but I could feel their presence vibrate in my chest, like a melody I couldn’t ignore.

They held out an object—a cassette tape. It floated between us, pulsing with light, humming with a sound I didn’t just hear—I felt. As I reached for it, my vision exploded.

Suddenly, I was no longer in the jungle. I was in the future. I saw myself creating music that wasn’t just sound—it was a force, a frequency that transformed people. Crowds weren’t just listening; they were elevating. I saw the vibrations of my tracks healing, connecting, and awakening people. It wasn’t just music; it was a bridge to something cosmic, something divine.

The being’s message was clear, though no words were spoken: “You are the channel. Your music is a frequency the world needs. Share it.”

When I came back to myself, I was still in the jungle, the stars above me, the sounds of the night washing over me. But the cassette tape—it was real. I was holding it in my hands, glowing faintly with the same unearthly light I’d seen. Written on it, in a language I couldn’t explain but somehow understood, were the words: “Celestial Frequencies Vol. 1.”

That night changed everything. My music hasn’t been the same since. Every beat, every melody I create carries a piece of that jungle, a piece of that being, and the vision they showed me. “Celestial Cassette Tape” is more than an album. It’s a map, a mission, a vibration I’m sharing with the world.

This isn’t just about sound. It’s about awakening, about raising consciousness. And it all started in the heart of the Costa Rican jungle.

Artists like DJOKO, Chriss Stussy, Enrico Sanguiliano, Konrad, Acid Kids among others have been of great influence for the young producer, who has been developing a differential style within the scene.

Danen has also had appearances in 'La Casona de Camana', El Ático Club (Afterbeats) and festivals such as Woods Festival and Diolayrad Festival, trying to make a name for himself in the Peruvian electronic scene.

Daniel Tello también conocido como Danen ha sabido enfocar sus producciones en subgéneros como Minimal Deep, Tech House y Techno teniendo como influencias los sintetizadores análogos, cajas de ritmo característico del sonido House de Chicago y Detroit y también ritmos tribales y melodías progresivas envolventes. Artistas como DJOKO, Chriss Stussy, Enrico Sanguiliano, Konrad, Acid Kids entre otros han sido de mucha influencia para el joven productor, que viene desarrollando un estilo diferencial dentro de la escena.

Danen ha tenido apariciones también en ‘La Casona de Camana’, El Ático Club (Afterbeats) y festivales como Woods Festival y Diolayrad Festival, tratando de hacerse un nombre en la escena electrónica peruana.
