As If New-Created is a luminous, meditative choral work inspired by the opening lines of Longfellow’s Evangeline, capturing a moment of stillness, wonder, and peace. 

Folk-like melodic writing unfolds over shimmering textures for choir, piano, harp, cello, and flute, culminating in the timeless invocation Pax super terram, pax in profundo — peace upon the earth, peace in the silence below.

I cannot find the measure where we went silent. But the notes
know where they are, suspended above in a holding pattern. 
Waiting for a trusted hand to wave us into the downbeat.
