Yo Luv Is Supreme (Prince Tribute)- The Dangerfeel Newbies

South Bronx born flautist/percussionist, Nakayo. has been synonymous with the Atlanta soul/jazz/world music scene for over two decades and has played with the likes of Patrice Rushen, Speech(Arrested Development), India.Arie, Julie Dexter, Anthony David, Donnie, Khari Cabral & Jiva and so many more. He now breaks out on his own with a special tribute to the woman who gave him his first big break, Patrice Rushen. This is simply a sample of what's to come via his soon to be released album, Liquid Motion. Melding jazz, soul, funk, house, Afro-Cuban rhythms and African rhythms to create a fresh new sound that feels classic and new school at the same time.

We teamed up with the Sabor! Brass Band out of Atlanta by way of Louisiana and the don, Abdulsamad Tajh of the legendary 80s/90s group The Boys! We covered one of my favorite modern tunes, Ralph Tresvant's "Sensitivity" and I think you all will dig the unique, jazz mash-up that we've concocted! Gotta Live My Life featuring Julie Dexter

Inspired by the story of Dangerfield Newby, one of five African-Americans in the John Brown party, this Atlanta-based duo delivers a set that is deeply rooted in blues, jazz, soul, funk, hip-hop, house; pretty much the American musical spectrum. Formed by DJ's Jamal Ahmad and Mark Angel, the mission was to create a sound that encapsulated a soulful and well-rounded listening experience. Featuring the talent of countless musicians and the vocal stylings of singer/songwriter's J'Picolla, Mashan Da'lyric and Julie Dexter, their debut "Hariet" is out now and the album can best be described as a "groove gumbo". Member Jamal Ahmad, says that "the mission was to dig deep inside and pull out all of our most personal influences. No matter if it's hip-hop like A Tribe Called Quest or house music in the Master At Work vein: we wanted to create a warm. personal sound". They just released their second album entitled "Southern Suns"
