Dangerpony (2008-2018) was a Berlin-based concept band doing country / punk / grunge renditions of classic country songs as well as their own songs. Laura Bruce (vocals), Laurent Lavolé, (guitar), Keith O'Brien (guitar, baritone guitar), Matthias Hermann (cello), and Derek Shirley (drums), but collaborated with other musicians such as Brendan Dougherty, Ansgar Tappert (drums), Nico Pettidan (guitar, baritone guitar). 
The selection of music, which eventually grew into a band, began as part of the drawing installation, "Goodbye Is Half the Words You Know" that was shown in Oslo at the Museum of Contemporary Art in 2012.
