Solemn Farewell is at its core a suicide note. As someone who has had suicidal thoughts, the song explores some of my thoughts in my darkest times. In the chorus I sing the line, “I was never here to begin with,” essentially meaning that physically killing myself wouldn’t make much of a difference, because I was already dead.

"I wanted each track to collectively narrate The Meaning and tell a story. I envisioned the titles of the tracks and the emotions expressed through the vocals in the tracks, coming together to form the message of the album + I pictured the music painting the feeling of that message. The message being that we all have our own meaning in life, and its really just about finding it and embracing it. We might struggle in the search for what it is, and sometimes even fail to acknowledge it when its there, but ultimately the aspiration is to pursue that which makes us happy and do what we love.
