Opening up the single is ‘Around’, a boomy up-tempo Techno cut, constructed around penetrating rhythms, piercing stab sequences and rumbling low-end. Maxime then introduces eerie, tonal atmospheric sweeps into the depths of the background to build tension, while baroque structural changes make for an energetic listen.
Title cut ‘Epur’ is up next, embracing a similar heady aesthetic with galvanic stab lines, earth- shattering sub bass and an ever-blossoming dynamism, in contrast to the sharp changes of the preceding track, Dangles opts for a smoother more subtle progression with ‘Epur’ with it’s gradually evolving feel.
We then see the package rounded off with ‘ThonQ’, rounding off the package brilliantly as we see Maxime veer into dub territories, fusing weighty analogue drums with drawn-out, echoing chord stabs and sporadic expansive reverb bursts to create yet another intense darkroom dance floor workout.

Break New Soil continue their immensely successful Breaking New Soil series with volume number six, a four track collection featuring new music from, Maxime Dangles, Dosem & Supernova, Per Hammer and Kernel Key. The label's latest gathering of nations sees two label debuts and the return of some our favourite artists. "All of the tracks featured on this collection, as with all of the previous volumes, have been mainstays of my current DJ sets" says label boss Gregor Tresher. The first of the newbies is France's Maxime Dangles with 'Lyoc'. "This track has been my secret weapon for the last few weeks. Absolutely smashing it each and every time I play it" says Gregor. Label fav Dosem, fresh from the successful release of his new artist album, teams up with fellow countryman, Supanova, on yet another melodic, peak-time smash, 'The Good Way.' A fan of Kernel Key's music, Tresher is happy to welcome him aboard with, 'Init', a track that, he says, displays the Italian producer's "signature grooves" and one that has become a staple in his DJ sets. Last but by no means least, Per Hammer follows up his collab with Patrick Siech from a few months back, with his very own solo funky tech-house number, 'Ogaden.' Enjoy!

Maxime Dangles has successfully straddled sounds and genres with certain panache. Having signed his first productions to the legendary Kompakt imprint, he was immediately labeled as the new young starlet of the France's electronic 'avant-garde' scene. But Maxime's music stretches much further and sees him confidently releasing work with a variation of labels. His techier 'big room' sound has seen him feature his music on Affin, Bedrock, Break New Soil and Skryptom among others.

Today Maxime joins the Herzblut family for a special debut release that has already been a staple in the sets of label boss Stephan Bodzin. The four track Oralipse EP is a collection aimed squarely at the biggest floors and a release that again highlights just how comfortable and creative the Frenchman is when producing energetic peaktime material.
