Asgard Demo (by Fuimadane)

The Hringrás album stands for "cycle" - and portrays the differences between life and death in the Viking age, but also the continuing loop(cycle) of life, death, and rebirth.

"Lifa & Dauðr" - a song on the album is literally portraying this through recorded sounds of living and dead things.

“All sounds and instruments (except a tagelharpa), in the death part of the song, were recorded and made from dead or decayed objects and materials, even real human bones were recorded and used in the recordings. The song is six minutes long and starts with Lifa (life), then slowly moves into the Dauðr (death) part in the middle of the song around the three-minute mark. At that point, all living things are removed and replaced with recordings or sounds of dead objects.”

The song was created in a similar theme and musical notes all the way through, so as not to portray life as ‘happier’ than death, and not to portray death as more ‘unhappy’ than life.

Herja is roughly translated to "wage war" and is one of the two new albums by Danheim (2018). 
Herja contains Viking War Songs and Epic Viking Battle Songs. In contrast to the Fridr album, Herja is based on a darker atmosphere and are inspired by the struggles, battles and hostile times of the Viking Age.

Asgard VSTi is a sampler (sample bank), and a Virtual Viking instrument created by Danheim.
It includes everything from the most powerful drums, which almost echoes into Asgard itself.
Bowed lyre drones, tagelharpa drones, dark textures, percussions, and every other instrument you can imagine from the Viking age.
– Authentic excavated antique Viking objects were recorded and sampled for Asgard. This is the first time since C.850-1050 AD, that these amazing objects will be heard again, and now come to life through sound and music.

Danheim is a Nordic folk/Viking inspired project from the Copenhagen-based Danish producer Reidar Schæfer Olsen, a man with 8 years of experience in electronic and ambient music - focusing on Nordic Folk, Viking age inspired music and atmosphere with a certain nordic authenticity. The release of his first debut album titled, “Munarvagr” have gathered around 5 million streams in one year. The second album "Mannavegr" was released November 1, 2017.

Danheim's music is dark yet melodic, intense yet authentic. While drawing strongly from nordic pagan culture and his Danish heritage, Danheim's sound is ultimately deeply rooted in ancient Scandinavian folklore and Viking inspired lore and stories.
Danheim is currently producing music for Short films, Computer Games, and his self-produced upcoming two albums.
