Rich & Maroq - A Walk In The Woulds

The single 'Resona' is part of Maga's first album, which carries the same name. 

The album Resona is a sonic journey through different resonances. Fully recorded in Guadalajara, Resona is the combination of brass with jazz and electronic influences. 

Over the past two years, Mickael Agarla aka Maga visited Guadalajara seven times to record different types of sounds and vibration. From the mystical trombon, to the edgy trumpet, and the low frequency Tuba as well as vocals and drums, Maga mixed these different sounds with an electronic edge. 

The objective was to create an easy listening album that would touch multiple generations and ethnicities. Coming from an artist that is known for its dance-electronic music, Maga succeeded in this challenge. Sit down, relax and enter a mystical latin world that will reveal all its resonance.

For this Mbuki Mvuki episode we have the pleasure of listening to a fine track selection of Barbarella. She is a DJ and producer from Dresden / Germany. As music has always been an important part of her life, she was testing and collecting different styles, before she finally found her home in deep, melodic and bassy sounds from all over the globe, somewhere between tradition and modernity. The major influence on her musical creation emerges from the spanish-speaking parts of the world, with a special dedication and love for Cumbia, as you can hear in her sets and productions.
Barbarella is also co-founder of "Pauken & Trompeten", a non-profit-label, podcast series and DJ-duo.

Dani Posada is a Swiss-Colombian DJ and Producer, based in Zurich and born in Bogota. HIs music is a celebration of diversity. Known for his mixing of different styles, Dani crafts sets that tell unique stories. Whether he’s closing the night, opening the floor, or driving the main time with bouncing beats and unexpected melodies, Dani’s performances try always to be memorable.

Beyond the decks, Dani’s passion extends into shaping the Swiss nightlife scene. As a co-founder of different labels, he’s played an important role in creating unforgettable experiences over the past years. He holds also a residency in Hive, Klaus and Frieda's Büxe. In 2023, he launched a groundbreaking 4-day festival in Switzerland Children of Panacea, featuring an outstanding lineup that showcased his commitment to musical diversity and community.
