Another successful party for The Turning Point here in Brooklyn, last Friday.  Thank you so much to everyone for all the ongoing support and if it wasn’t for all the TTP clubbers and followers here in NY and beyond, these parties wouldn’t be happening .  I am very grateful it has attracted such a dedicated group of followers who believe in the concept.  A three and a half hour journey from myself and Mir….and It’s looking like something we will continue to do again and again for the NY crowd ;)

Rory James b2b Mir Omar @ 'The Turning Point' 6 Year Anniversary - Rose Gold, Brooklyn 12619

Here is last Friday's recording of pretty much the full 3 hour set as I started it a little late. A bit of a dirty recording - some of the hard settings on the recorder must have gotten shifted in my travels but it was meant to be. The dance floor didn’t let up for the entire duration and what a pleasure it was to look out into the crowd and see nothing but pure bliss. I completely lost track of time towards the end of the set and didn’t get the chance to properly wind down the energy for the closing moments, but still managed to think fast for a memorable ending. Big shoutout to those last 30 to 40 people who didn’t want to go home!

A mix of light, dark, grit, perfection, mistakes and mishaps, highs, lows…a journey..in all it’s ugliness and beauty..

Institution_YWG, thank you so much for continuing to make my dreams into reality. DJs, If you ever get the chance to work with the Institution_YWG team, you are very lucky. A hell of an experience.

Connecting Souls 054 on Proton Radio guest SUNDI & TATOO

Daniel Carlsson aka Dani-C is a Dj from Stockholm, Sweden. From an early age, he performed his own songs, which he wrote in school. From that time on, he knew that someday music and performance was going to be something he would do for the rest of his life. He had found his passion and calling.

In 1983, as a 12 year old, he took his first steps into Pipers, a big disco in Torremolinos, Spain. The atmosphere was euphoric. DJ was playing Kool & the Gang, "She's Fresh". The dance floor was moving/bouncing up and down. The coloured disco lights were striking him like thunderous lightening bolts from heaven! It was confirmed, Dani-C wanted to be a DJ.

Dani-C has a huge collection of vinyl, with covering many styles, but it was the electronic music from the end of the 80's that influenced him the most. 

For that reason, he started listening to Techno and Trance in the mid 90's. Artists like Oliver Lieb, Emmanuel Top, Etnica and X-Dream were almost Gods to him.

But as time went by... it was one artist and album, that infected him the most into his love of "Progressive House" today, and that was the one and only, UK Sasha... with his  Global Underground Ibiza...
