We are pleased to welcome Russian selector and Tur label owner Poly for episode 43 as she provides us with a special live recording from the Tur showcase at Stackenschneider back in July. Expect dark, percussive rollers with an energy that fits our channel perfectly. Back in the day, like a hundred years ago, I started my career as a DJ and organizer with jungle/drum and bass music. So, once in a blue moon, I dust off my vinyl and digital collection and play some broken beats. Here’s a recording of my mix for Diemo’s radio show on OpenLab Radio, which aired at the end of 2023.

This is a live recording of my set at "RHADOO / Beat In Me", held at Vent in Tokyo on 29th November. It’s the opening set on the main floor from 23:00 to 1:00, before Rhadoo’s performance. Please have a listen when you have some time.

• No mastering has been applied.
• The recorder was slightly malfunctioning, and I couldn't properly adjust the input levels during recording. As a result, some tracks have distorted kicks. Thank you for your understanding.

The Japanese DJ based in Berlin has deservedly garnered a reputation as a supremely cultured selector thanks to flawless sets and for being a curator of the Cabaret record label. 
His guest podcast is powerful and functional, with a modern sound rooted in classicism. Masda masters the art of reduction: his sound stretches from deep house to tech and electro, but a thread of artful minimalism runs through - stripped-back, modern, free of big breakdowns or in-your-face melodies.
