Creed - Higher (cover DC Vision Studio)

Another track done with my friend Dylan Greene on vocals! Great times! All the guitars/bass/drums done here at DC Vision Studio by myself. This was the efforts of 1 day of recording and 1 day of mixing/mastering. I got to experiment with an incredible Mastering comp/limiter by UAD called the Shadow Hills compressor! Crank it up tell me if this hits you in the chest! I HIGHLY recommend trying out the UAD stuff! Really cool!

Stricken - Disturbed (backing track no vocals)by DC Vision Studio

  I was messing around with this song the other day and this is the result of a few hours work.  I was just about done with all of the music and happened to run across an isolated track of David Draiman's vocal on Youtube! WOW!! I re-mixed a few areas today that need eq-ing and smoothing out. This is my final mix.
  It was sounding real good before that. But, it came alive then! I mean, hey, we all love the riffs and music, but it's really the vocals that people want to hear most. And David, you killed it on that one! Great job! And thanks to the guy on Youtube that extracted the vocals!
   So, I'm just letting everyone know that I don't take any credit for what's not mine. Fantastic song by a fantastic band that I decided to try and emulate. I recorded 2 guitar tracks, 1 bass track using an exported Guitar Pro file that I ran through a Mark Bass plugin, and a drum track that was run through Superior Drummer 2 using the Metal Machine library. I plan on doing a video of the process for Youtube.

I actually found this track with all of the originals minus Jake. So......I had a blast playing with this one! All guitars both rhythm and lead are me. Give it a listen and enjoy!!

Ozzy - Bark at the Moon (cover by DC Vision Studio)

This is a cover of myself and Rob Edmonsond on vocals recorded in my home studio. I played all the guitars, and bass. The drums were done MIDI using Superior Drummer. Rob used a Neumann M147 tube mic into a Line 6 UX2 running @ 24-bit 48k into Sonar X1. I used a Jackson soloist 7-string with EMG's for all the guitars and a 5-string Peavey Grind bass.

Stryper - The Way (cover by DC Vision Studio w/Rob Base)

I re-uploaded a new mix of the same performance. I changed the drum sound and brought the guitars up, also using different sounds. Anyway, every time I heard it I kept wanting to remix it and finally did. I hope you enjoy it. This was all 1st take stuff. I was jamming in my studio with my friend and decided to record it on the 1st try. This is what I got.

This is my rendition of Undaunted with my friend and co-conspirator Dylan Greene on vocals! I have a blast trying to emulate some of my favorite bands and their amazing mixes! This has GOT to be THE punchiest mix I have ever heard (the original, of course), and trying to copy that without the high-end pre's and converters is an impossible challenge! Give it a listen and see if it even compares. I like it and hope you do too!
