Hemi, the veteran DJ and producer based in Istanbul, returns to Duro Label with a thunderous release. "Damn, I Forgot" is the name of Hemi's latest single, which comes accompanied by two remixes, the first one made by Israeli artist Niv Ast and the second by Hungarian in-house artist Sobek.

The EP starts with the original version of "Damn, I Forgot," a track that immerses you in an experience with an enveloping bass that roars from the first seconds. Hemi drags us through an arrangement of synthesized violins, electric stabs, and acidic lasers. A mixture of dark and resonant elements in a whirlwind of energy.

Next is Israeli producer Niv Ast, who puts his stamp on a remix that will transport you to an unknown dimension. With a spacey and majestic vibe, this version will guide you through a jungle of echoing synthesizers, fragmented vocals, stuttering organs, and acidic synthesizers that blend together remarkably.

Closing the release is the contribution of Hungarian producer Sobek, who doesn't fall behind. His version of the track is a booming and mind-bending cut that makes you move your feet instantly. The fuzzed synthesizers, chopped vocals, and powerful rhythmic section come together in a hypnotic mix that will keep listeners captivated on the dancefloor.

For over a decade, Hemi has left his mark on the music scene, experimenting with various genres under different aliases. In the past years, he has focused his energy on new music under his own name, gaining recognition on labels like Discotexas, NDYD, and Petra.

Australian producer Gumm’s debut EP comes in the form of ‘Access Disruption’, a three-track release that traverses the gap between house and indie genres.

Speaking to the current state of friction between people and technology, the dancefloor-ready hypnotic title track ‘Access Disruption’ shines a gentle light on the addictive tendencies we have to our devices and the rising power of AI.

While differing in sound, the housey ’Komale’ and hard-hitting indie ‘Maya’ take us on their own unique journeys. The elevating tone of ‘Komale’ places the listener into a positive, reflective mind-state - conversely, suited for the late hours of night, ‘Maya’ is reminiscent of dust and celebration, a familiar theme among the Australian festival community.

PREMIERE - D3LMAT - In This Night (Jabba 2.3 Remix) (Mélopée Records)

The prolific Mexican label Duro kicks off the second half of the year with an explosion of rhythm and movement courtesy of the duo Factory Setup. Their highly anticipated EP Afrikka lands on June 27, 2025, offering a deep dive into hypnotic grooves and infectious percussion.

Factory Setup is the joint project of Joseeph and Zhino, both residents of Guadalajara’s iconic Bar Américas. Their sound draws from late '80s, '90s, and early 2000s gems, reimagined with a modern pulse. Afrikka is their ode to the energetic exchange between Latin and African rhythms.

The journey opens with Afrikka (Original Mix), where stripped-back percussion and haunting vocals set a primal tone. Flow First (Original Mix) follows with a heady, piano-free hypnotism, locking into a groove that pulls you deeper.

Hardvard Bass steps in for a charged rework of Flow First, adding booming drums and warped synths. The remix ups the tension with a tech house flair, ready to peak the night’s intensity.

Afrikka (Stab Mix) turns up the heat with a driving Latin house feel. Psychedelic vocals swirl around tribal percussion and a relentless stab pattern that demands motion. The closing cut Flow First (Piano Mix) brings warmth and uplift, with melodic keys layered over rolling drums and ethereal vocals.

Factory Setup’s Afrikka is a percussive celebration of movement, crafted for dancefloors and deep listening alike.

Hannes Bieger's Tephra EP for Poker Flat was a highlight of 2018 - the acclaimed mixing engineer stepping up to the controls as a producer and delivering a master class in dancefloor dynamics. Following up from that success, Bieger returns to Poker Flat with the three track 'Chemistry' release. 

The title track is a richly detailed production (unsurprisingly), featuring a hypnotic rhythms track and a beautifully realised vocal performance from Alexander Sjödin (Sailor & I). 

The track that already became a highlight in Bieger's live-sets is also released here as a dub, providing DJs with two different versions. 

'El Fuego' completes the release - a tough, pounding kick interacts with a deep, evolving bassline that snakes its way through the track, joined by acidic wiggles and dramatic stabs. An exercise in restraint and release that Bieger is fast becoming celebrated for.
