For our 34th release, we welcome back label favourites Tomi&Kesh and rising Romanian star Cosmin Horatiu, who bring us two fresh original cuts, complimented by remixes from Play Groove boss, Sebastian Ledher and Enrico Caruso.

Space Stomper kicks off the release, full of energy, with perfectly layered rhythmic percussion and a driving low end. This an archetypal Libero driver.

Cheeba, while different in energy, brings the same level of groove, utilising hypnotic vocal stabs and intelligent drum programming to great effect.

Next up, Sebastian Ledhers remix of the B-Side utilises a stripped back approach with a focus on repetition, subtle rhythmic changes, and clean audio processing.

Closing up the release, Enrico Caruso’s remix of Cheeba kicks it up a gear with high energy drums, creating a peak time driver.

Andre Salmon returns to Hottrax with his latest EP ‘Satisfy My Bass’ alongside FreedomB & K-Mack. 

Arritmia label boss Andre Salmon has become one of the most prolific rising names within the house sphere with material on prevalent imprints including Repopulate Mars, Rawthentic, Too Many Rules, and Sola. Having featured on the label alongside London-based talent K-Mack last year, Jamie Jones' Hottrax imprint reveals another fruitful collaboration from the pair alongside a further collaboration with Berlin's FreedomB for 'Satisfy My Bass'. 

Salmon and FreedomB open the package with 'Yes, I Like Bass', an energetic peak-time affair that fuses rolling rhythms with robust chords and Jordano Roosevelt's alluring vocal chants to great effect. 'Satisfy Me' with K-Mack unveils another floor-filler, as Cami Jones' seductive vocals combine with trippy sonics, precise percussion and sweeping atmospherics to transport listeners to the early hours.

Long-standing FUSE mainstay Rich NxT makes a long-awaited return to Hot Creations this October with the Vibewise EP. The three-tracker marks his debut solo release on the label, having featured as remixer on the imprint previously.

The A-side sets off with Roll On and the title signifies the exact nature of the track. A chuggy, groove-paced creeper, borrowing a unique vocal hook from UK hip hop protagonist Einstein. Rich’s hallmark style leaves few prisoners in its wake, as swinging bass tones open into the techy sounds of Papermill. Gritty basslines meld into whirring synth pulses before the title track brings things to a close, with stripped-back percussion residing next to loopy kick-hat combos throughout.
 
As one of FUSE’s original residents, Rich NxT played a major part in the brand’s evolution, helping take it from a free afterparty to one of the most respected event brands and labels on the planet. Adriano Pagani - Dance House (Extended Mix)

The next release on Libero comes courtesy of one of the label's leading men, Luke Welsh. The Kaluki & WHP resident is on top form as he delivers an impressively potent EP in the form of ‘Not The Same’ - featuring three hot off the press original cuts, highlighting his ever-increasing production talent and adding even more weight to the Libero name.

Kicking things off, ‘Not The Same’ leaps straight into that signature label format of percussive-led groove and easy-going momentum. Layers of intricate drum components drive the track with not only cadence but also add subtle melody - complimenting the weighty low-frequency bass melody. The track is broken up with a progressively climatic synth riff and accompanying vox line that builds the perfect ledge to kick you off, straight back into the groove once more. Played numerous times by Marco Carola.

‘Mad Marksman’ has an undeniable tribal feel to it. Fat-bottomed kicks meet the sizzle of hand drums rattling from left to right that give off a really attractive primal energy. Another deep and heavy roller in the lower end of the frequency spectrum with progressively building and subtle melodic elements - dusted off with yet more clever vox arrangements. A track with an essentially raw and soulful appeal, that will have you reaching for the repeat button.

Last but certainly not least, ‘Campione’ completes the release with another welcomed instalment of full-bodied kicks and a seemingly endless array of movement-inspiring rhythmic elements. A bottom-heavy head bopper to say the least with ‘crammed terrace’ written all over it, carrying that nonchalant loose-necked feel from start to finish. Reminiscent of the sort of track you would hear at peak time at a Music On type party.

Luke Welsh - Not The Same

Up next is the ever-popular UK talent Iglesias with his latest standout piece ‘Every Inch’. Calling in rising star Ben Sterling and label favourite Jezen on remix duties, ‘Every Inch’ offers a super-varied package - capable of appealing to even the most diverse of musical palates. 

The original mix is a firm reminder of why Iglesias is such a revered name within the UK scene and further afield. Swinging the gate open with a robust combination of groove-assembling elements, ‘Every Inch’ truly champions the Libero Sound. A captivating low-frequency partnership of thumping kick drums and rolling sub-bass cut straight through the middle of the track, paving the way for endless rhythm and a masterfully pieced together vocal topline that ties everything together perfectly. 

Ben Sterling follows with a standout remix, flipping things on its head. A perpetual analogue low end with heaps of grit and rawness throughout. Ben’s preference for hardware shines through in the remix, giving it an essentially dusty feel with endless dancefloor appeal. Glitchy, quirky and hard to put down; individuality with a real hooking quality.

Jezen brings the release to a close with a progressively building and enslaving re-work of the title track. Undeniably deep and full of soul, something we have seen him bring to the label previously with great effect, he’s on target with yet another standout track. Flicking between 4/4 and two-step, its layered synths and filtered vocals that modulate throughout the track all add incredible amounts of personality. Perfect to open or to close with.

Kicking off the New Year on Kaluki Musik, we welcome back Spanish DJ and producer, Daniel Orpi, who has teamed up with vocalist Mizbee for their brand-new release on the label; the 'Touch Me' EP. With releases signed to respected labels including Saved, Nervous, Stereo, CUFF, Cr2 and his music finding support from A-List DJ's; Solardo, Chris Lake, Darius Syrossian, Steve Lawler, and Kaluki head honcho, Pirate Copy. The 'Touch Me' EP reflects Opri's unique sound throughout, offering perfectly mixed percussion, intricate bass groves, harmonious chords, organic drums and mischievous synths all beautifully combined with the sultry, soothing vocals from Mizbee.

Daniel Orpi Ft. Mizbee - Touch Me

Making his debut on Libero Records, Australian artist Daniel Cuda delivers a statement piece in his ‘Steps’ EP. Offering up two original cuts, joined by Barcelona-based artist and label favourite Gruuve on remix duties.

‘Steps’ kicks things off with a striking combination of pounding kicks and subtle percussive groove layers - bound together by a rattling underbelly of rhythmic sub-bass notes. Truly underground in its aesthetic, the track uses cleverly modulated vocal samples to create builds that cut through its atmospheric breaks.

Gruuve’s remix offers a dubby and loosely-swung alternative to the original mix, adding an eerie twist to the clever use of FX in its predecessor. The key emphasis of the track is its rich analogue feel, which gives it an unparalleled level of individuality. Another attention-grabbing record to add unique flavour to any collection.

Daniel closes off the EP with an archetypal Libero number, rounding off the release nicely. Subtle, groove-focused with splashes of vocal presence and easy to digest with maximum effect. Blending a mix of Deep Tech and Deep House in sections, rounding off the release making it three from three standout tracks.
