The goal of Undertow is to tell a story through use of instrumentation. It also functions as a sort of overture, revealing pieces of six main themes that would be expanded upon in a larger score, but condensed here into a single piece.

In short, it's telling the story of a character's fall into villainy through the themes of childlike innocence, lost love, grief, revenge, a descent into madness, and arising in darkness.

This composition was completed over three successive weekends. It's built on over 50 tracks, uses the entire orchestra, and is the longest and most complex piece I've written to date (featuring multiple tempo, key, and time signature changes). There are some rhythmic themes I've tried to weave throughout, but most of the continuity is through use and reuse of instruments.

This is the menu/options theme music for an in-development horror action title. It was created with a mix of synths and orchestral instruments.

Hunted

My entry for the #kriskalimbachallenge2020. I've never seen a Kalimba in person so I had no idea what to write but I like what came of it.

Side note: Every note in the piece, including the techno swooshy effects, are the #SimpleSoundsAudio Kris Kalimba except the percussion, vocals and the circle bowls. Oh and the Forest sounds.

One more small step in my never ending journey to put notes together in a manner that isn't overtly offensive or nausea inducing.
