This is the second band that I am in. Two of the guys from "On The Rocks" are with me. My best friend sings and our new college friend plays the guitar. We are jamming at the Phila. College of Textiles and Science in 1983 and 1984. We are recording on a reel to reel in a cool record club room way up in the high rooms of an old building.

This is Third Floor's version of the Door's Classic. We did this at the Harleysville Hotel.  We brought the house down with this mother. The grumpy bartender who was a Rocker himself rang the bell for us on this one. The singer had strep throat. Can you hear it? I diagnosed him the next day with a flash light at noon when we were breaking down our shit. It's 1989.

This was a song our keyboard player wanted to do, so we did it. There is some good sax work on this one. The Sax player is Andrew Neu. He is known now. He made the big time.

This is THIRD FLOOR at it's best. Gerry McWilliams lays down an incredible solo. I bang the living crap out of the drums. We were a band out of Philly from 1987 to 1989. We were the real deal. We worked our asses off.

This is a song written by our young guitar player. It's all about hanging out in the city at night. It's all about doing things your own way. Third Floor was based out of Norristown and Bridgeport Pennsylvania. We rocked 1987 to 1989. 

City Lights by THIRD FLOOR

This is another great song by our prolific bass player. He wrote it with his cousin. I loved drumming this song. It was one of my favorites. I do some of best drumming on this song. The guitar player is really hot on this track.

Vigor by Third Floor

This song was written by Gerry McWilliams and an old black gentleman named Mr. Henry Johnson. Gerry picked up Henry one day hitch hiking. Henry was in our band for about 6 months. Learn more about Henry in my paper back call "The Third Floor Movie Mystery." Thank you.

Our Keyboard player Steve sings this one with his strong voice. Steve was the source of all of the perfect backup vocals during the time of our band. His Mom taught voice coaching. Steve has a simple case of the blues.

This is a cover of the classic by Jefferson Airplane. This is the song that I talk about in my paperback "The Third Floor Movie Mystery" where the audience goes nuts at one point and it was frightening to my band mates and I. We brought the house down in this song.

This is the old classic by Emerson, Lake, and Palmer, ELP. It got a lot of radio play in the 80's. This is one of my best drum performances ever. The drums play a lead role in this song. Our bass player knows every note. He is Scott Ritsik. PJA on guitar.

We surprised our 120 people audience that night by playing some of "The Monkees." We do a great job on this track. This song has great movement to it. It's Snappy! 

Steppin Stone by The Monkees a cover by By The Way 2

This is my best drum performance on the evening. My bands mates and I nail this song. The people on the dance floor started a mosh pit type style of dance by the end of the song. This is one of the last songs and the crowd was drunk. This song is by "The Yardbirds." 

For Your Love by The Yardbirds cover "By The Way 2"

This is a totally experimental song. I told Paul, the guitar player to play off time in the beginning of the song and that I would do the same. Then we kick in to normal time and we create an insane jam. Paul plays guitar like he never did before. I play the crap out of the drums.

On Time Off Time by "By The Way"

I am an old Rock-n-Roll drummer with no where to go. Will someone put another record on? When I was young I was obsessed with drumming and music. I played in 5 bands altogether with numerous jam sessions in later years but now all of my Rock days are behind me. I decided I had to get the music of my best band out there in the world and that band was "Third Floor." I'm putting out songs from my early bands so that the average person can hear the progression of growth over the years. It's amazing what happens. I am releasing all of this music as a tie in to a new book I wrote called "The Third Floor Movie Mystery."
