These are very elementary tracks created on the InShot app, which is meant to edit video and pictures (check my Innerbloom tribute video now available on my Instagram and IGTV). Soon after I discovered I could strip vocals online, layer tracks, capture audio from video and select certain parts of the song and create these mashups. Not bad for a 19.99 life time app. 

The audio sounds a lot better on higher quality speakers. Otherwise it sounds shitty. Hope y’all enjoy!!

I’d walk just about everyday downtown RVa., from Browns Island to the flood wall in Manchester during the summers and fall. And I’d always pass the trains coming and going in and out of the yard. The cymbals track that I found in this song reminds me of the swoosh swoosh of the train moving slowly, and slowly added layers of the same sound to create an audible motion of the sound of the train moving. I used a very elementary app to make all these tracks and pretty impressed what 9.99 a year could do. The vocals I just found to create something more and ground the song. The picture I took, and is one of many trains that came in slowly where I got the inspiration as it had a steady beat, and as my dad worked trains from this same ACCA yard for a better part of his time, I’d send him video of the trains coming and going. Sadly he never saw this train, or heard this song.
