Continuing the Most Violent Year Album project, NC-17 returns with the second instalment of this epic trilogy of long players.

Each part of this album series was written during a year in which the global pandemic took hold, intense political disruption created unstable futures and media outlets across the world became further polarised and outraged, creating vast swathes of angered and confused people, unsure of who to trust. This second edition encapsulates that paranoid, tense, terror - moving on from the looming dread of the unknown that formed the basis of Part 1.

Beginning each part of the album with an entirely new batch of tunes, Part 2 represents 13 of the best cuts from over 50 tracks written just for this chapter of this epic trilogy. By beginning with a fresh palette and creating entirely new music for each section NC-17 was able to keep each part distinct, and the music contained within this speaks exactly to the feelings he experienced during the project.

Alongside 8 incredible solo productions are collaborations with some of the dnb scene’s most notable talents, 5 exceptional tracks featuring Kolectiv & OB1, Myth, Philth, Dr. Apollo and Logam.

Representing the continued development of the NC-17 sound this album includes some of his best work to date, we’re proud to present ‘Most Violent Year Album – Part 2’.

'Wavelength' was the first and the last single track release after two VA compilations and it ignited the idea of freebies, so it only makes sense to finish the circle and let this clean and classy deep gem get its second breath, this time as a FREEBIE. It was released on 02/02/2020 right on the edge of the old and new reality of the world we live in. 

It was the second year of our existence and it was crucial to us in the forging of our direction. This specific timeless track somehow released the wavelength to find its own direction helping us to lead our journey. In 3 months it will get 4 years old and its producer and label core member @MrDropDatabase is about to release his debut SFM 'Voyager EP' which will be out on the 15th of December 2023.

Life stirs in the fresh heat of the moment, the whirring of a thousand intricate mechanisms returning to life as wing films push against the air… every gear’s movement with a single purpose – to feed.
 
EATBRAIN presents rapidly rising Ukrainian producer NICKBEE with his GEARS EP, also featuring the eerie and alluring vocals of JOANNA SYZE. With these 4 delicately balanced and keenly crafted slices of neurofunk, Nickbee displays a refined sense of structure and minimalism, whilst delivering a powerful vibe for the dance. Half of the EP drips with dystopian spirit, bristling with razor sharp edges softened in NOWHERE TO RUN and WE FIGHT by Syze’s ethereal and alien voice.
