WANGAN CLUB PODCAST SERIES #002 : ALETØ

Né à Marrakech et désormais basé à Marseille, VOST est un artiste Techno/Rave dont les productions singulières et iconiques résonnent sur la scène underground marseillaise. Avide de soirées Rave et Dark Techno qu’il ne trouvait pas dans son pays natal, le jeune artiste marocain a pris ses marques au sein des soirées du Métaphore Collectif et de leur communauté.
Défendant un univers musical sensible, abrupt et méticuleux, VOST produit depuis 2019 une Rave Techno aux accents émos et industriels, avec des touches d’EDM, de Tearout Dubstep ou encore de Brostep. Le résultat est puissant, profond et percutant ; il séduit un public très large avec ses morceaux qui portent déjà sa griffe, reconnaissable dès les premières notes. Cité comme l’un des artistes à suivre sur la scène française par le média spécialisé Underscope, VOST est un DJ hors pair qui a déjà sorti des morceaux sur Nechto Records, le label de Nastia, sur Jerry Horny, Matière Production ou encore Southfrap Alliance.
Salué pour ses morceaux inspirés et rafraîchissants, il défend en 2023 son nouvel EP, “Concept” sorti sur Maison Close Records, dont le morceau éponyme a été joué par Anetha ou encore François X, suscitant beaucoup d’intérêt de la part d’un public Techno qui découvre un artiste talentueux, n’ayant aucune limite de genres, et à l’aube de sa carrière de DJ et producteur.

The Parisian Techno scene has a vast number of players, but none growing exponentially like DJ & producer Nymed. 

Growing up in the seaside town of Dunkirk in Northern France, the artist’s proximity to the Belgian border fueled his love affair for electronic music. He began his own party series, "Conceptual Violence," in bunkers on the Flemish Coast after becoming properly acquainted with the Belgian and Dutch club realms across the border. 

The concept was simple - to reappropriate & transform a former historical warzone into a place of celebration, joy, & love. What initially began as a party series evolved into a podcast, showcasing a wide selection of Techno artists from all over the world. 

Prior to the 2020 pandemic, Nymed relocated to Paris and began producing music and honing in on his DJ craft. Now, he is known as a pillar of the scene. He launched a new event concept, Toyz, in 2021 as a move to revitalize and fill a growing demand for safe party spaces for other like minded, sexually liberated queer ravers.

Nymed’s sound is characterized by a love for old school 90’s techno, with a no frills approach to mixing that sets him apart from his FX laden contemporaries. This revivalist sound has made him an in-demand artist locally at iconic French queer events like Spectrum & Myst, but it also allowed him to play on the international scene in clubs such as Berghain (Berlin) or Paragon Broadway (New York). 

Fluctuating between hypnotic and sensual, his music production work channels his DJing philosophy while incorporating trippy melodies and sexually charged rhythms. 

A chance meeting with fellow artist and label manager False Witness led to a friendship where a mutual respect for each other's creative visions were forged, leading up to Nymed’s debut EP, ‘Vassau’ on E-Missions Recordings in April 2023.

Glasgow based vinyl DJ and producer, Eubo, fell in love with electronic music at an early age, his love of techno truly began after attending his first few events in 2018. Since then he has developed a love for the old school sound, especially that of the early 2000s.

Having recently released an EP on Feedback Recordings, his productions don’t show any sign of slowing down, with multiple other label releases in the coming months.

He enjoyed digging deep for this podcast, taking on a deeper, groovier and more modern sound as opposed to his usual old school, drum centric sound.
