Landing on Toolroom, it’s a label debut for an upcoming Liverpool based DJ & Producer ESSEL, who makes her way onto the label in a big way with her debut single ‘Love Vibration’. 

A huge record for the emerging artist who, in the short space of time, has risen through the noise at breakneck speeds, turning heads, and dropping dance floor heaters alike. ‘Love Vibration’ is without a doubt a straight up House banger, with a stomping groove and funky bass line that’ll get any dance floor moving no matter what time it is.

So far, 2021 has seen ESSEL go from strength to strength, especially after the success of her hit ‘Running’ on Love & Other which saw the upcoming artist gain major support from streaming services and national radio, racking up over a million streams earlier this year. Pioneering producers Bob Sinclar, A-Trak and Melé join forces for a reimagining of the 2022 Defected release ‘Deep Inside Of Me’. Chris Le Friant AKA Bob Sinclar previously collaborated with Grammy-nominated Canadian producer and one half of Duck Sauce, A-Trak, for ‘Deep Inside Of Me’ last year - now British house innovator and choice selector Melé joins the fold to give the production a modern twist. Together the three artists have been at the forefront of various electronic scenes over three decades, producing some of the finest house tracks in every DJs record box: Sinclar rose to prominence in the late 90’s, A-Trak in the late noughties, and Melé within the last decade. An international and generational collaboration, ‘Deep Inside Of Me’ begins with DIY timbres and complex patterns looped to create a sonic lesson in polyrhythms – what follows is a synth pad bridge that cushions the fall from the percussive drops of before; the combined talents of the acclaimed producers come together in a blissful haze before the almighty climax crashes down.

An incredible collaboration here from 2 heavyweight house artists, working together for the very first time! David Penn has a career spanning over 25 years. OFFAIAH appears on Toolroom for the first time in his career under this alias, although he was a firm part of the original Toolroom Family line up as Michael Woods. So this is a SPECIAL ONE! He is a premier act on his own merit, known for his low-slung house beats, appearing on leading imprints such as Defected and Armada Subjekt and selling out arenas all over the Globe on a weekly basis.

Australian born DJ and producer Kormak has been making waves on Sydney’s club scene, curating adrenaline filled sets that have gained him more than a few high-profile fans, including Aussie man of the moment Fisher. His last track, ‘Keep On’ featured in Simon Dunmore and Sam Divine’s stand-out b2b at Defected Croatia, and his debut release with DFTD maintains his bumping, bass-driven style of production. The release opens with the title track ‘Love On The Line’, a momentum building record that shows Kormak experimenting with the deeper, dubbier side of house music. By comparison, ‘Feel’ echoes classic house tracks with its vocal, intensified drums and undeniable funk.

Club trends come and go, but Daniel Steinberg has been a constant creative force in electronic music for well over a decade. One of Berlin's most celebrated house & techno practitioners, Steinberg is a dance floor specialist with an ear for infectious hooks and addictive grooves.   

He's connected with some of the most well known names in electronic music, having remixed Claptone, Felix Da Housecat and Oliver Dollar. His own productions have been remixed by Roman Fluegel, Derrick Carter, 808 State, Crazy P, Paul Johnson, Nick Holder, DJ W!LD to name but a few. 

Steinberg's early output arrived on Jesse Rose's Front Room label with a string of releases including the latin house hit 'Bailando' and his debut album 'Shut up'. The focus shifted in 2011 to his own Arms & Legs imprint through which he released his subsequent albums 'Treptow' and 'Left-Handed' and club classics 'Joy & Happiness' and 'Let Me Down' that was re-released on Defected with a chart topping remix from Tube & Berger.

His DJ-ing has been similarly heralded having built a reputation as an artist who delivers serious fun to the dance floor. Daniel has played peak-time slots across the globe including Panorama Bar Berlin, Rex Club Paris, Baum Bogota, DC310 Mexico City, Razzamatazz Barcelona, Wire Festival Japan, Fusion Festival Germany. See him in a behind the decks and you'll immediately know why, his energy is infectious and his skill undeniable as he weaves together own brand of fun-fuelled house and techno, full of sly creative winks.
