About DJ Mes:
DJ Mes |  Guesthouse Music | Oakland, CA    Bay-Area bred DJ Mes (Jason Sutton) rarely slows his groove. Since the 2004 inception of his Oakland-based label, Guesthouse Music, Mes has produced a prolific catalogue of bass-heavy tracks that have scorched dance floors amid the ebb and flow of electronic music. As a DJ, his sets have inspired; as a producer, his montage of disco-dredged beats meld bump with rhythm and bass to create hot buzz in front of and beyond the speakers. In 2011, Traxsource honored Mes with the top spot on a list of 100 best house tracks of 2011 following the release of the bumpy Chicago-sound behind "Fools Gold" (Cajual Recordings).  
Mes· career dates back to the mid-1990s, when the future producer took early influence from the likes of DJ Dan (Funky Tech no Tribe) and Tony Hewitt (Tango Recordings). Some two decades later, it would be DJ Dan who would join the talent ranks of Guesthouse Music, Mes' genre-defying imprint that earned him notoriety beyond numerous festival appearances, club residencies, and as co-founder of Daddy's Records (1996). Unlike previous endeavors, Guesthouse bloomed as a personal and creative project inspired by the underground house community that embraced the sound in the U.S. and overseas. While Mes continued releasing tracks on acclaimed labels such as Casual, Relief, Glasgow Underground and Salted, it is his own Guesthouse Music that set the pace, approaching 600 releases-including 50 vinyl releases-since its inception.   

Mes' ear for talent led to the unveiling of some of the most successful names in underground house, including breakout artists of 2011, J Paul Getto, who scaled the charts of Traxsource with "Need More Music" and "Paris Fried Chicken" Boundary-bending producers, such as Gramphonedzie, and classic acts, such as Cosy Creatures and The Sound Republic, exploded onto the scene under Mes· own A&R moxie. Even while he introduced new DJs and producers to audiences, he continued creating his own body of boompty sounds.  
While Mes looks ahead for talent, he creatively nods to sounds that inspired him to slide behind the decks more than 16 years ago. In 2011, Mes followed up his seminal "Fools Gold" release (Cajual Recordings) with a second EP, "Town Business." "Lonley Nights," a rework of Isaac Hayes classic "I Can't Turn Around," climbed the underground charts alongside a remix of The Magi classic, "C'mon Clap Your Hands." Even while maintaining a regular touring schedule throughout the U.S. and Europe, Mes continues partnering with the some of the scene's most lauded producers, such as DJ Sneak and his own greatest influence, DJ Dan.  
In December 2011, Mes and Guesthouse created another piece of house music history by releasing their 100th track, "3000" (J Paul Getto). For Mes, it marks the beginning of another phase of underground house evolution. Adds Mes: "I'm always working to sign new or undiscovered music and talent to the label, and maybe even throw a curve ball to startle people with a new, unexpected style or sound. It's what it's all about."

"Amsterdam’s D Stone has been steadily rising up the ranks of the European House scene in recent years, racking up releases on the likes of Archie Hamilton’s Microhertz, Blind Vision and Airtime Records while also
DJing at local hotspots like Thuishaven, De Binnenplaats and BRET in Amsterdam and further afield to Blaues Wesser in Frankurt, Germany. Here though, D Stone joins the Cécille imprint with his latest collection of
works, following on from recent material from Timmy P, Leon and Sidney Charles.

Up first is title-track ‘Total Unison’, a funk-infused disco house cut laid out across eight minutes with a snaking bass line, guitar licks, sweeping strings, resonant synth lines and vocal hooks all intertwined with a bumpy rhythm section. ‘Something Is Coming’ follows next and shifts focus over to a more tribal house feel via organic percussion, dubbed out synth flutters, sax melodies and an elongated bass groove. Opening the flip side is ‘2 Be Free’, employing a more reduced and refined house aestheticfuelled by crunchy, stripped-back drums, hypnotic spoken word vocal chants and a choppy, stab led synth bass. ‘Show Me’ then
 ounds out the releaseon a more playful tip, merging siren like synths, gritty stabs and sporadic pad sweeps with a bouncy sub bass and swinging percussion."

Club trends come and go, but Daniel Steinberg has been a constant creative force in electronic music for well over a decade. One of Berlin's most celebrated house & techno practitioners, Steinberg is a dance floor specialist with an ear for infectious hooks and addictive grooves.   

He's connected with some of the most well known names in electronic music, having remixed Claptone, Felix Da Housecat and Oliver Dollar. His own productions have been remixed by Roman Fluegel, Derrick Carter, 808 State, Crazy P, Paul Johnson, Nick Holder, DJ W!LD to name but a few. 

Steinberg's early output arrived on Jesse Rose's Front Room label with a string of releases including the latin house hit 'Bailando' and his debut album 'Shut up'. The focus shifted in 2011 to his own Arms & Legs imprint through which he released his subsequent albums 'Treptow' and 'Left-Handed' and club classics 'Joy & Happiness' and 'Let Me Down' that was re-released on Defected with a chart topping remix from Tube & Berger.

His DJ-ing has been similarly heralded having built a reputation as an artist who delivers serious fun to the dance floor. Daniel has played peak-time slots across the globe including Panorama Bar Berlin, Rex Club Paris, Baum Bogota, DC310 Mexico City, Razzamatazz Barcelona, Wire Festival Japan, Fusion Festival Germany. See him in a behind the decks and you'll immediately know why, his energy is infectious and his skill undeniable as he weaves together own brand of fun-fuelled house and techno, full of sly creative winks.
