I’m proud to be releasing this track after months and months of sleepless nights. I have been very excited to get this track out since I started it; there is a whole story behind this track and what it means to me as a DJ & Producer.  To start with, the original track… I remember being apart of a wedding ensemble back in the year 2000; Don’t Give Up by Chicane was a massive hit in the late 90’s/early 00’s and I first heard it at this wedding… I was only a young kid of five years old, but still to this day, I can remember the feeling it gave me when I first heard it. I didn’t know what that feeling was nor did I understand much about anything at that age, but over the years, this song has stuck with me and has been an absolute favourite. Ten years ago I began my DJ career… Thirteen years old, not really knowing what I was getting myself into or thinking too far ahead into the future; it was just a bit of fun during high school.
I started off mixing Progressive & House music, I was addicted to the feeling of being able to control music and mostly, addicted to the feeling of this music.
Over the years, my style and genre’s have shifted, but Progressive and House have always been at the core of my productions. This year, I announced my rebrand of “Daniel Tonik.” Cutting all the bullshit and writing music that meant something to me; combining Progressive and House with a modernised twist.  To pay homage to the original track that got me into dance music and the original genre that got me into DJ’ing… I present to you my 2018 Progressive remix of Don’t Give Up.
 I really hope it takes you on the journey that I undertook and I hope you get glimpse and understanding of my story through music.
