Monumental times have arrived for Steyoyoke Recordings, as they venture into unchartered waters. This new project accumulates for years of hard work and marks the release of their very first album titled ‘Equilibrium’. The Steyoyoke artists are united within a unique concept, that utilises the four classical elements of fire, air, water and earth, bringing you a creative expression that reflects a state of balance between art, music and the natural elements. Each track is an original production, however they are grouped accordingly to symbolise a particular element that represents the tracks sound and vibe. In its entirety, the whole album creates its very own state of ‘Equilibrium‘.

There are two tracks that express the element of Fire on ‘Equilibrium’, ‘Shattered‘ by Dahu & MPathy and Nick Devon & BLANCAh‘s collaboration ‘Harmstring‘. Both tracks embody a robust energy, that is both rebellious and at times even menacing. They capture a balance of sharp, stabbing percussion with passionate edgy synth chords.

The element of Air is represented by a total of four tracks. These are Ran Salman ‘Zephyr‘, Soul Button & Nick Devon ‘Fading Light‘, Soul Button & BLANCAh ‘Rising Silence‘ and Animal Picnic‘s ‘Gravity‘. Uplifting in nature, all four tracks have the ability to build tension, as well as allowing for moments of softness and tranquility. Dreamy melodies impact you with sensations of movement and flow, creating a smooth hypnotic vibe.

The three tracks that signify the element of Water are, Soul Button & Ran Salman ‘Aquarius‘, Aaryon & Ran Salman ‘Riptide‘ and BLANCAh’s ‘Ripple Effect‘. Channelling a strong fluidity and freshness to their sound, all three tracks carry a subtle progression. Blending clean hitting drums with meandering synths, each tracks groove fluctuates with its own ebb and flow, creating a heightened sense of emotion and atmosphere.

‘Abyss‘ by Dahu & MPathy as well as Soul Button & MPathy’s ‘Tremors‘ are the chosen tracks to symbolise the fourth element of Earth. Possessing relentless bass lines and a sense of nobility, both tracks are sequential in providing a powerful dense sound. Rich melodies portray an organic warmth, that invoke an impression of stability, exposing the grounding sentiments held within each track.

The final track on ‘Equilibrium’, symbolises the unity of all four elements. It brings fire, air, water and earth together to signify the ‘Natural Order’. Possessing moments of toughness and attitude, as well as moments of down tempo simplicity, this track certainly portrays plenty of character. ‘Natural Order’ tells a story and allows for a dignified message to be shared.

Ran Salman’s ‘Aquarius’ will be available with all pre orders of the ‘Equilibrium’, making it an exclusive track on the album.

Darlyn Vlys remix takes the trip of Piek to a deeper direction; the French torero offers his particular High- class production rework. His version presents cinematic landscapes and an extra emotional touch to the track. With Sigiriya Piek shows he has no fear to explore new possibilities of structure and rhythm. Being a big fan of Drum and Bass, and other break musical styles, these inspirations reflect on this timeless masterpiece. This Sigiriya has been remixed by talented Dutch man Kid Culture, amazing producer and one of the best Dj that the Netherlands have seen, delivers here an analogue sound delicatessen, strong influenced by classic house and techno.

Welcome back, old friend! It's been quite a while since Valencia-based producer Sylvain Soulier, better known as Darlyn Vlys first appeared on the Upon You Sweet & Sour Series back in 2010 and a lot has happened since then. Now, backed by releases on well respected labels like Sincopat, Terminal M and many others, it's time for Darlyn Vlys to make a big return, serving a massive TechHouse anthem for 2016. The original version of „Colours“ fuses big room TechHouse, a slightly proggy feel and ever morphing Acid references to a great, spiralling and well-enthralling effect, building up nicely before Forrest serves a killer vocal performance that is yet simple, powerful and fascinating, an anthemic array of words that a new generation of punters will never forget once they've heard them on a large rig. Instant classic detected. Our man Ruede Hagelstein strips down things a little in his remix, focusing on the techier, cleaner and more scientific side of the TechHouse spectrum and coming up with a hypnotizing minimalist Acid version backed by an effective two tone, Intelligent Techno-resembling bass and nice floating synth arrangements to be loved by tech purists for a reason. Finally the young German producer Tim Engelhardt is going deep with his version, focusing on gooey, all embracing sawtooth bass beauty and a crystalline, melancholia-inducing motif layered on top of  decent beat foundation gravitating towards uptempo realms for the small hours.

Get Physical co-founders M.A.N.D.Y continue to rework and remix their recent LP ‘Double Fantasy’ LP, this time round it’s ‘Rabbit Mountain’ which gets two interpretations from the duo and another from Gerd Janson. 
Up first on the package and premiered here is the ‘Rework’ version of ‘Rabbit Mountain’ which sees M.A.N.D.Y deliver a smooth and melodious take on the original, laying down seven minutes of metallic percussive chimes, rumbling subs and emotive string melodies. Gerd Janson steps up to follow, turning ‘Rabbit Mountain’ into an acid frenzy with squelching 303 bass licks acting as the driving force whilst shuffled rhythms and the original’s bell sounds ebb and flow throughout. Lastly M.A.N.D.Y deliver another mix to close the package, this time round entitled the ‘8 AM Version’ and as the name would suggest it’s aimed at those euphoric early morning moments on dance floors, doused with dreamy atmospherics and emotive string progressions.

The masterful trio of Timo Mass, Basti Grub and Eric Volta showcase their combined musical muscle on the
latest release forthcoming on supreme Berlin imprint, Mobilee. With an impressive remix package featuring
Rodriguez Jr. and Martin Buttrich to drop in the Summer.

The initial release in May delivers two variations of the title track. Opening with the original mixdown, We Were Riding
High is a sublime summer anthem. Over two years in the making, it’s a lucid after-hours track with an uplifting and
catchy vocal hook that unfolds and develops fluidly. The alternative edit utilises darker synths and drums, whilst still
retaining the positivity that make this track perfect for the coming summer months. This record is the result of Eric
Volta making the demo at an after-party at his studio. He then showed this to Timo Mass who in turn showed it to
Basti Grub who loved the track so much, they were inspired to develop it.
“What started as a night out in Berlin visiting Club Der Visionaire, Chalet and ending in Watergate continued into my
studio on Reichenbergerstrasse at about 9am. One of those fun afters which result in me grabbing whoever is near
me, a little drunk and a little high and just wanting to play instruments, synths - and JAM. As the lyric goes - We were
riding high, writing through the night” Eric Volta

“A few days later I heard that demo and immediately ask Eric to finish it as it’s so unique and, as it sometimes goes, he
didn’t finish it. I asked him many times, roughly over a period of 2 and a half years until i sat with Basti in the studio,
played it to him and we immediately made a new version, Eric loved it. And here’s the result! We are all super proud of

Two time Grammy nominated Timo Maas has an extensive musical background, spanning over thirty years. He’s
worked with some of the world’s biggest stars including Madonna, Depeche Mode and Fatboy Slim. Basti Grub heads
up his own label, Höhenregler, and is known for his exotic, African-influenced productions. He’s released on some
premium labels including Cocoon, Get Physical, Desolate and Cr2. Born in London but very well traveled, Eric Volta
shot into the spotlight with Love Your Illusion and since releases on Dirtybird, Visionquest, Four:Twenty Re

Heavy Rotations Vol 1 is Maeve's first long player. Releasing a
compilation has long been an ambition of the label, however time was the
key component in producing a record we could all be proud of. The best
laid plans can often fall by the wayside, having a clear idea of what
you want to achieve with a record like this changes constantly as you
collect the pieces of the puzzle and try fit them together in a way that
makes sense.

As well as the label founders we started by also inviting friends that
had already released on Maeve, to contribute to the compilation. This
was a good starting point as each of those artists are all quite
different from one another so we felt it could produce some interesting
results. There was no brief, just a blank canvas to contribute something
they felt belonged on the label. It was also super important for us to
use this record as a platform for lesser known artists to showcase their
work.

So after 2 years of planning we finally have an 11 track compilation
together which will be delivered as a triple vinyl in early June. It is
a record that developed and changed a lot over that period but now is
something Maeve is very excited to share with the world.

On May 19th we will launch the record at Funkhaus Berlin with a line up
compiled of those who contributed to the compilation.

Berlin/Panama-based brothers K.E.E.N.E. have been making a name for themselves with their brooding, slow-building afro house / tech chuggers, but on this release for Exploited they show their love for strong vocals and sorrowful melody.

A dizzying flurry of synth arpeggio teases as throbbing monotone bass carves its way between the shuffling shaker patterns. A minor piano chord progression builds an introspective vibe as the atmospheric male vocal paints a picture of a man pining for his departed lover. Cleverly-deployed FX blurs the edges, delayed hits and stuttering white noise adding energy. A rolling conga rhythm laces the heady breakdown as the fizzing synths tingle their way up your spine. You begin to notice other subtle touches like the slightly warped detune effect on the piano chords and hazy synth washes that tease the background of the track. It's a testament to their skills as producers and arrangers, cutting away the fat to produce slick, impactful dancefloor monsters time and time again.

With its relentless beat, impassioned-yet-restrained vocal and gorgeous atmospheric touches, ‘Missing Point’ could just be K.E.E.N.E.’s most impressive work to date, and one that shows they have a very exciting future ahead.
