Iranian artist Amirali is back with the new PINK EP on his Dark Matters imprint this May. It follows up his second studio album, 'Trial & Error' in 2020 which received critical acclaim and finds him delve back into dance music in his own unique and special way.

Amirali's critically acclaimed album was an avant-garde / experimental project which rejuvenated his creative side and now he is back to explore the dance floor once more. He says of this EP, "I was heavily inspired by the sound of the late 80s and early 90s while working on 'PINK’, particularly the Berlin Love Parade era; music and culture that originated in Detroit and NYC and spread throughout Europe served as inspirations for this release. There was something magical about that time period that still gives me a thrill just talking about it."

'PINK' is an electric track with slick drums and busy arps bringing light and soul. It's a constant upward trajectory that sweeps you off your feet as more melodies arrive and get hands in the air. 'A Shooting Star' then has heavier drums with deep, warm bass. It's got cosmic energy from the smart synth lines and textured percussion adds edge and bite next to epic vocals.

Over the years, Berlin has been cited as Oliver Koletzki's main point of reference and, more importantly, his endless source of inspiration. His albums Großstadtmärchen and Großstadtmärchen 2 are wholehearted tributes of the German capital, as its importance is continuously hinted and charted. Friedrichshain, one of Berlin's vibrant districts, has always held a special place in Oliver's heart. This is where he started out when he first moved to the city, and this is where he lives now. Kreuzberg's wall paintings adorn Stil vor Talent's cover sleeves and host their headquarters. There are little to no corners in the city that haven't brought a spark of inspiration into the mix. The Schneeweiss compilation series, now at its 15th installment, is built as a form of tribute to all these particles, tied in together into a series of carefully curated tracks. Each compilation stands at the intersection of the musical and cultural surroundings most prominent of their respective times, acting both as a reminder as well as a timeless sound capsule for the years to come.
