Solid Steel (13th January) In Hour 1 it's Shapednoise, an Italian born Berlin based grinding electronics/noise and speaker ripping techno producer. He's had releases on Hospital Productions, Opal Tapes, Stroboscopic Artefacts, Russian Torrent Versions, Type Recordings, as well as his own Repitch and Cosmo Rhythmatic imprints and now has a track on Weightless Volume 2, the compilation on Mumdance and Logos’ Different Circles label. He told us;
"I’ve complied this mix trying to maintain the same level of diversity that i put in my own DJ sets. Yet i’ve also tried to keep it as organic as possible, using most tracks as tools, highlighting certain sonic or rhythmic qualities and live-editing specific passages to piece them all together in a creative way. As always, i’ve decided to combine deep, challenging tracks with edgy club constructions from all eras, preferring broken beats, rough cuts and noisescapes to any linear narrative. The mix also includes some juicy unreleased material, such as Pinch’s next venture on Repitch, a taste from Simbiosi’s upcoming Cosmo Rhythmatic release, my own bootleg rendition of Kendrick Lamar’s “Sherane AKA Master Splinter’s Daughter” and a VIP version—courtesy of Roly Porter of our track "Resistance to a Harmonious Vision"

I recently stumbled on a remix online where a Aaron Richter threw the original Gwen Stefani vocals back into our version.
