If you have received a record from our UK-office over the past two years then there is a 95% chance that it was sent to you by Jamie, aka Jiminy Watts.

I’ve been on to him about getting a mix together for a while now so am pleased to say that he has delivered in style on this one.

Jamie effortlessly takes us on a trip through many spaces in this 1hr mix and proves that he is as good at finding his own records as he is at finding yours.

A few words from Mr. Watts himself: “In terms of the tune selection in this mix, I wanted to try and strike a balance between the Ba Dum Tish sound and my own sound. I hope I have accomplished this but I will let you be the judge of that.”

I thoroughly enjoyed this mix whilst driving from Berlin to London when moving house and I hope you enjoy it too.

Jiminy Watts - Ba Dum Tish Mix

Crossing paths with Jiminy this summer it was obvious we shared a similar taste in the obscure and leftfield tracks that sometimes don’t quite make it to the dance floor. Curating a musical taste in the Bristol scene running his own night Emotional Intelligence, Jiminy has now moved back to London working alongside Ba Bum Tish in distribution HQ.  It Is here he has continued to dedicate his passion for music shaping the DJ he is today.

With such a wealth of musical knowledge we are sure to guarantee this will be a special show!

Emotional Intelligence’s first release comes from Hungarian talent Kvrk. The 4-track EP revolves around the deeper and darker shades of techno and electro.

The A1 and A2 are both hypnotic and heavy-hitting, whilst the B1 offers a bouncier vibe. To round up the EP, the B2 explores a more emotional and euphoric sound.
