The time I created this song is when I finally realized my worth when it came to my intimate relationships. Being a person who’s dealt with being sexually assaulted and abused mentally with past partners. Building that self love and using those bad experiences as lessons is so important. A reminder that you are enough and believing that it’s possible that whoever comes will treat you with respect and that your voice matters. Knowing that you won’t accept the bare minimum and you can’t be doing all the work by yourself

Shemedelyne is Haitian born and is now located in Vancouver BC. Her impact in the industry is about being heard in a world with countless opinions. She creates hip-hop to soul to rnb as well as alternative and neo soul music. Music has been a part of her life since she was young from movement to choir as well as poetry and deejaying. Writing her own music has been an outlet for her pain and further understanding herself as well as the world around her and the different relationships she goes through in her journey.

It’s important that every song she makes has a deep meaning behind it and expresses different emotions that make you question. She is currently working on her rnb ep and hip-hop/soul ep. After her ep’s are released she wants to create her first album. She truly is an open book and wants to show people no matter what you have to heal from you can achieve your dreams.

Performing while dealing with heavy PTSD is one of hardest things but it’s all about controlling the mind and letting those feelings flow through without judgment. When you perform you embrace every single emotion and express those throughout the performance. Which really does impact the audience's reaction. Showing it’s okay to feel what you feel and remember to be gentle with self to feel less alone.
