Back from a massive Argentina tour, Christopher Lawrence is in the studio to deliver this months Rush Hour. 

This month features new tracks from Psilocybian & Black Noise, Mental Broadcast & Mind Evolution plus new tracks from Pharmacy Music’s J Michael Kober and Renato Dinis. The episodes “Track of the Month” is an absolute monster by Mirok - could be the track of the year, it’s that good!

This months guest mix comes from respected UK psy trance producer Mechanimal. 

Mechanimal is a fusion of full on groovy beats, fat funky bass lines and twisted melodic journeys. Since the first live in October 2009 Mechanimal has been Performing around London, Europe and Brasil since. Now with over 20 successful releases and ever growing experience Mechanimal is now ready to blast 2013 with it's debut album coming soon!

Nick started his musical journey at the age of 13 in Paris where he learned to play the bass & guitar. Over the years he participated & performed in numerous bands covering genres from rock, metal, jazz, new age & urban music.

He pursued his passion by moving to London to study a music degree where he was acquired in the dance music scene as a session guitarist. After performing at venues such as Brixton Academy, KOKO & The Fridge he was inspired to explore the world of music production.Since then he has been playing at festivals such as Universo Paralelo in Brazil, Some of the best parties in London and many exciting festivals around Europe as Mechanimal & Saga.

Dance Valley Festival 2005: One dance, one love, one happiness, one weekend… and 60,000 party people.

In 2005, the Dance Valley festival entered it’s eleventh year. The festival had become the jewel in the crown of the European summer festival circuit, boasting massive and highly produced, themed stage areas, cafés, a campsite with supermarket and even an outdoor cinema. Known as "the Woodstock of Dance”, the festival attracts DJs and fans from around the world.

In 2005, Christopher Lawrence appeared for the first time at Dance Valley. On Friday, Christopher played the Main Stage and returned for an encore performance on Saturday night, headlining the ‘Electro Beats’ Trance Stage.

Christopher Lawrence returned to Dance Valley in 2007 to by host his own arena - Continental, his invited guests included Judge Jules, Blank & Jones, John “00” Fleming and Sean Tyas.

Carl Cox says “Missing Dance valley for a year means not having lived for a year”.

Dreamstate USA has had a massive first year out. Since launching their inaugural festival last year, the all trance brand has become a force to be reckoned with. Christopher Lawrence joins the line up for Dreamstate's sold out SoCal festival in 2016 which is their biggest and best to date. Live from 1996. This set was recorded at a rave in Los Angeles in 1996. This is the true sound of the underground when Progressive House, Trance and Techno all blurred into one sound. DJs spun vinyl on Technics 1200 turntables. It was a completely different experience to using laptops and CDs. We set the record in motion with a flick of the wrist and lightly touched the record to to keep it on beat with the record spinning on the other deck. No easy task when the turntables were sitting on card labels right on the dance floor. But that is what made it special. No big stages, no LED screens, no digital downloads, no iTunes, no Youtube, no internet! These parties were word of mouth and paper flyers only. And after partying all night long at a warehouse rave we would head to Venice Beach to carry on in the sun at a proper popup out door party. Hopefully as you listen to this mix you will be taken back to a different time when dance music was just beginning and anything was possible!
