Welcome to my LONG overdue first mix since pre-'rona times.

And for this beautiful goddess-only Beltane gathering dubbed "Bloom," who better to both begin and cadence with then the queen of spring her self, Ayla Nereo. 
These tracks: "Show Yourself," and "Seeds" I interpret as both beckoning and connecting to fertility and the divine feminine, and on the journey in between I sonically remind of the cold and gray of the recent winter, and slowly elevate both tempo and temperature, warming with latin, tribal and African rhythms, brightening with horns, strings and acoustic guitars, and 
realizing some fresh and funky dance fantasies. 
There have been SO many extraordinary artists and tracks over the last 7 years that I have deeply connected with, but for whatever reason aren't reflected in any other mixes, so this is also a bit of a time capsule homage to some classics you may recognize that made a deep impression.

Hopefully this mix invites you into your own experience of spring.

Daniellow Bloom 2023

Daniellow’s, desert-dusted, effervescent, often tribal sound, is at once a magic carpet to eastern lands & opulent harems and a trip into futuristic, rainbow-laser-illuminated urban dance clubs.  He began his DJing at art openings while studying Composition at CalArts in 2004, and through the last two decades blossomed into a kind of underground notoriety.

From that time to now, he has always stood out as a truly unique wielder of sound.
Has helped define the sound of some really special “culturally relevant moments” across his home base of Southern California, has been a featured DJ at many “transformational” festivals and one-off club events, and has bern on decks abroad from Berlin to Lisbon, curating soundscape narratives all along that winding path.

From Turkish producers Mercan Dede to modern electro & vibe maestros Flume, Sophie Tucker, and Polo & Pan, Daniellow effortlessly weaves a gorgeous, eclectic canvas of sound between any and truly all genres.
