Found this CD when going through old folders, just has "Live at Funcore 2" written on it -- so that's what I assume this is! If you like old skool Happy Hardcore, you'll love this. It's quite possibly the cheesiest mix you'll ever hear. 




DJ Midian - Live at Funcore 2 - 19th July 2003

This mix was originally released as a promotional CD given away with tickets to The Scattered Games (Scattered 6), September 16, 2000. That was probably my favourite party I ever put on and this is certainly my favourite mix I've ever done. It was recorded in the DJ booth at the old Reachin Records on Oxford Street. I got there just over an hour before close, so I had one shot at it. It's not perfect, but my mixes rarely are!

This mix was re-released almost ten years later as a promo CD with Funcore 5 tickets, the last party we ever held. Or was it?

Scattered The Anthems

Alienation was a project between Kyle Armstrong (DJ Daydream) and myself, two friends with happy hardcore backgrounds having a bit of fun experimenting with writing hard trance. It lasted about a year before our "real" careers got in the way and placed us in different parts of the world, but in that time we managed to put together a few tracks and even play live at three raves -- all while having a laugh. This recording is from the last time we played live, Scattered 9 in 2005.
