'A year after ‘The First Milestone’ we can say that Infinite Depth reached its second milestone. Around this milestone a 10-track strong VA is compiled. On this VA there are some of the label’s familiar faces like His. Creator, U S H N U, Klankveld, Alberth and Symmetric. Besides, we are having back Convolute, Altman and bastinov from earlier remix duties. Also, Infinite Depth is welcoming two new talents, Final Request and Dario Gismondi. 

The sixth of the VA track is the one by bastinov, called ‘Transition’ and is belonging to the brighter and emotional side of the VA. The track got directed by dramatic female vocals, which are perfectly in play together with the bright lead synths.'

Um euch die Zeit zu unserem Album mit Thalstroem im Oktober auf Burlesque Musique zu verkürzen, haben wir hier schon mal einen kleinen Vorgeschmack, der bei der Arbeit mit Northern Lite eigentlich eher nebenbei entstanden ist. Schönen Sommer euch!

Die Single „Take My Time“ ist nicht nur die erste Kollaboration von AKA AKA & Thalstroem und Northern Lite, sondern mal wieder der Beweis: Die Intuition ist der innere Kompass, der einem den richtigen Weg weist. Als das Berliner Trio nämlich gerade die Puzzle-Stücke seines zweiten Albums zusammenführte, fehlte noch ein entscheidendes Detail: ein Sänger. Kennengelernt bei einem sympathischen Umtrunk während eines gemeinsamen Gigs, erinnerten sich die Macher vom Label Burlesque Musique an ihre Erfurter Kollegen und die einhellige Absicht, irgendwann mal miteinander ins Studio zu gehen.
„Take My Time“ ist einer von insgesamt drei gemeinsam entstandenen Tracks, der mit seinem nachdenklichen Vibe einen interessanten Einblick ins kommende AKA AKA & Thalstroem Album gewährt. Von der tapsigen Percussion, so als würden Steine über die Wasseroberfläche hüpfen, über die erhabenen Streicher bis hin zur unmittelbar eindringlichen Stimme von Northern Life-Sänger Andreas Kubat – „Take My Time“ beginnt direkt mit fesselnder Gänsehaut. Während die Lyrics den Konflikt zwischen Ungeduld, Vorfreude und Gelassenheit reflektieren, wachsen verspielte Chords zu einer fast schon nostalgischen Melodie zusammen. Spätestens zum Schluss verschmelzen die Kontraste beider Künstlerkollektive zu einer Einheit, wenn der Dialog zwischen Akustik-Gitarre und filigranen Beats den beeindruckend versunkenen Epilog markiert. Der Berliner Alle Farben zieht seinen Remix von „Take My Time“ nicht nur Richtung Dancefloor, der DJ und Live-Act betont sowohl die perkussiven Nuancen als auch die akustischen Instrumente und fügt seiner Version sogar ein kleines Gitarren-Solo hinzu. Ob Remix oder Original: „Take My Time“ von AKA AKA & Thalstroem und Northern Lite erinnert an eine allzu wahre Botschaft: Carpe diem!

„Take My Time“ isn’t just the first collaboration between AKA AKA & Thalstroem and Northern Lite, their single is also proving: Intuition is the inner compass that guides us in the right direction. While the Berlin-based trio was putting together the puzzle pieces of their second album, a crucial detail was missing: a singer. Having met during an amicable drink at a common gig, the label founder’s of Burlesque Musique recalled their Erfurt-based colleagues as well as their unanimous intention to work together someday.
„Take My Time“ is one out of three mutually produced tracks, and with its thoughtful vibe it’s offering an interesting insight into the highly anticipated LP by AKA AKA & Thalstroem. From the lumbering percussion, as if stones would skip over calm water, to the sublime strings to the immediately strong voice of Northern Lite’s front man Andreas Kubat – „Take My Time“ causes captivating goose bumps straight from the beginning. While the lyrics reflecting the conflict among impatience, anticipation and tranquility, playful chords melting into an almost nostalgic melody. The contrasts of both creative collectives are merging into each other at the end once again, when the dialogue between the acoustic guitar and some delicate beats marks the impressive sunken epilogue. The Berlin-based DJ and live act Alle Farben not only pulls his remix of „Take My Time“ towards the dance floor, he’s emphasizing both the percussive details as well as acoustic instruments by also adding a small guitar solo to his arrangement. Whether remix or original, „Take My Time“ by AKA AKA & Thalstroem and Northern Lite put a true message in our mind: carpe diem!
