 Rhythm Section International proudly presents it’s 8th offering from local boys Chaos in the CBD. Born in New Zealand, but based in Peckham for the last few years (literally just around the corner from Henry Wu and Bradley Zero), these brothers have made a real mark on the scene here in London town and with their latest set of productions are set to take this message further afield. 
Having already released internationally on labels such as ClekClekBoom (Paris), Hot Haus (London) and Amadeus (Montreal), the duo’s approach to production has matured immeasurably in the last year, as is evident in the restrained potency and poetic subtlety on the 4 tracks across this accomplished EP, Midnight in Peckham. 
Taking it’s title from the locale the boys have come to know as home, the record channels a delicate late night energy - equally indebted to the hypnotic incantations of Ron Trent as it is to the hazy suburban atmospheres of Burial. These 4 classic cuts pay homage to deep house in it’s truest sense - at once sublime, melancholy and meditative . Chaos in the CBD have clearly taken their cue from the mid-west masters of the genre but have not been afraid to let their own influences and environ creep in, and in doing so have created something that is unmistakablely London and infact, timeless.

Bradley Zero’s Rhythm section imprint sees its next release come in the form of some divine grooves courtesy of South London based duo, Chaos In The CBD. The New Zealand Born, Peckham based brothers have released with the likes of ClekClekBoom and Hot Haus and now step up for RS008 with four melancholic cuts that pays homage to deep house and laid-back jazz in their truest forms. Hypnotic and hazy, Midnight In Peckham goes on a late night tip, with a subtle poetry to the track that gives it an unequivocally timeless vibe. Gary (who also goes by the name Slikk Tim) hails not from the streets of Detroit, Oakland or Atlanta, but from the post-industrial city of Nancy, France. While he might be a relatively new name as a producer, he’s got plenty of experience as a session musician for the likes of Dâm-Funk and Orlando Voorn, as well as having played for Los Hermanos, the project headed by Gerald Mitchell of Underground Resistance.

Indeed, it was Voorn who introduced Gary to Underground Resistance’s Mad Mike, who helped get him his first deal on Clone Records. Now Gary’s newest slice of futuristic electro funk – The Sugar Cane Chronicles Vol. 1 - is being released on Hypercolour next month.

The EP’s not out until 1st April (no foolin’) but we’ve got the exclusive premiere of the lead track, ‘Preachin’ Some Tight Game’. A super-groovy blend of fluttering jazz chords, silky caramel bass, and raw drum programming courtesy of Gary’s trusted 606. Topped off with a squiggly little G-funk melody that’ll worm its way inside your skull and set up shop for the spring.

You all probably know Liem "If Only" by know ?! This feel good house track being almost instantly becoming an unifying anthem ! If not you might have heard awesome Eddie Ness "Ombre" we premiered some months ago too. Well LeHult sixth release marks the closing of a circle : Lucky Charmz, the man of its ﬁrst release “Follow Me To Flottbeck Falls” EP, returns to deliver his second full length effort. LHLT006 is the “U Still Coming Over?” EP, a long overdue follow up to his ﬁrst EP : More than anything else, it’s a fresh slice of summer groovers. Opener “Faceless Goat” here instantly delights with it’s majestic opening chords, only to unleash a smashing grandeur of sample fun and lustful grooves. It’s a no-vocals-required killer, rich in texture and yet subtly enchanting. While Faceless Goat is probably best enjoyed blasted out to vast, scenic landscapes on mediterranean coasts from the terrace of a ancient estate, it is also tried and tested for “Vorzech”, houseparties and—of course—any club scenario (it won’t fail you).
