This is the second piece in a series of pieces based on microsounds. It is in four short movements. One can say that it is a homage to Stockhasusens masterpiece Kontakte in that it uses pulse waves as one of the basic building blocks. Soundmining makes dark, generative ambient music. It is based both on pure electronic sounds and on recorded natural sounds.

He is a Swedish composer named Daniel Ståhl. Born in Stockholm, Sweden 1967 and is currently based in Stockholm. Studied composition at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm between 1992 and 1995.
