Paul entschließt sich mal zu Hause zu bleiben... besser so. Er fängt um 23:36 an die Lieder zu exportieren, die er das letzte Jahr produziert hat, schiebt die Spuren in ein spärlich benutztes Programm: Ableton, mit noch unbekannter Funktion: Live, in der Session Ansicht.

12 Stunden später, Paul ist immer noch wach. Begeistert von den schier unbegrenzten Möglichkeiten seine Tracks neu zu kombinieren, steht schnell fest: Das werden lange Nächte.

Am kommenden Freitag packt Paul die Gitarre und die Maschine Controller ein und fährt zur Premiere seines Sets ins Gallusviertel. Die Latenzen verhindern ein spielbares Gitarrengeklimper aber es macht dennoch sehr viel Spaß.

AS & Friends presents ‚Hüttenzauber [slow]‘ Afterhour Sounds Podcast Nr. 154

Inmitten der Natur, umgeben von unzähligen Bäumen, endlosen Feldern und jeder Menge Ruhe trafen sich fünf Musikbegeisterte zu einem musikalischen und besinnlichen Austausch der besonderen Art. Die Rede ist von Patrick, Fabian, Andreas, Uwe und Arkadiusz. Jeder für sich ein begeisterter Musikliebhaber mit dem Hang zum Besonderen. Ganz im Sinne der Musik und der Freundschaft setzten sich die Fünf das anspruchsvolle Ziel zwei Podcasts zu gestalten. Ganz im Sinne des Hüttenzaubers aus dem Jahre 2016 wurde fortan Tag und Nacht an dem Vorhaben mit ganz viel Liebe und Leidenschaft gewerkelt. Hin und wieder natürlich auch diskutiert, probiert, gelacht und geweint. Es war nicht immer einfach, doch zu jederzeit harmonisch. Und das Ergebnis kann sich unserer Meinung nach her absolut hören lassen. Aber entscheidet selber.

Wir wünschen euch ein frohes Weihnachtsfest und einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr.

Momo 

In dem Roman "Momo" von Michael Ende, geht es um ein junges und aufgewecktes Mädchen. Das herzensgute Kind Momo ist sowohl anderen Kindern, als auch Erwachsenen eine gute Freundin. Eines Tages machen sich Lebenszeitdiebe (die grauen Herren) unbemerkt in ihrer Stadt breit. Diese vollständig in grau gekleideten Männer empfehlen den Stadtbewohnern, ihre Zeit nur noch für "sinnvolle Dinge" zu verwenden. Die Menschen beginnen Zeit zu sparen, arbeiten schneller und gönnen sich nur selten Pausen, Erholung und Freizeit.
Doch trotz der permanentem Hektik und Eile fehlt es plötzlich allen an Zeit. Die Agenten der Zeitsparkasse (die grauen Herren) stehlen sie den Menschen. Kaum jemand hat noch Zeit für seine Mitmenschen und die generelle Lebensqualität sinkt. Momo erkennt das ihre Freunde immer unglücklicher werden. Sie begibt sich auf eine abenteuerliche Reise um die Zeitdiebe aufzuhalten und den Menschen die Freude am Leben wiederzubringen.
Unser heutiger Gast ist Judith van Waterkant und bekennender "Momo" Fan. Um ihren Mitmenschen Mut zu machen, erzählt sie gerne von Beppo dem Straßenkehrer. Diese Romanfigur teilt sich zu bewältigende Arbeit (eine Straße) in Abschnitte ein. Ein Schritt, ein Atemzug, ein Besenstrich. Mit solch einer  Achtsamkeit und Präsenz im Moment, wird auch die größte Herausforderung zu einem Kinderspiel.

What unites us — humans with all kinds of dreams, deep and personal feelings, the way we perceive life and the way we actually live it? How do we notice that invisible connection and feel each other in space and time? Music collected on this page is perhaps one of those invisible connections, for it’s really hard to find an answer to the question of how artists from the most diverse parts of the globe, performing beyond all genres and stereotypes, gather music they love or play live an hour-long mix, and people on the other side of the world are actually loving it. No less a question is how come we propose @francaplays to be a part of this project and why she accepts our invitation. Such questions do not and will not have answers, so we better stop asking them altogether.

Daniel Zuur – Electronic musician, Producer & Live Composer

Daniel has been a staple in the Amsterdam club scene since 2009. His unique sound and organic mixes have earned him a name in the alternative electronic music scene, as his sets have been attributed to being melancholic, dynamic but above all, deeply melodic.
In 2012, the artist earned the award for “Best Producer” at Vinylized, the biggest Dutch competition for producers in the scene. Daniel has continued producing and played live at national and international clubs and festivals such as: Kater Holzig (Berlin), Katerblau (Berlin) Sisyphos (Berlin), Paradiso (Amsterdam), Perron (Rotterdam), Tivoli (Utrecht), Pleinvrees (Amsterdam), Shoeless (Amsterdam), Thuishaven (Amsterdam), Baum (Bogota, Colombia) and Next Mondays Hangover (Amsterdam).
In the summer of 2013, the producer released the “Tesla EP” with the hit “Never Gonna Break” on Berlin’s renowned label: Katermukke. Further labels on which he has released his work are: Manual Music, Cinematique and on his own label, Zauer Records of which he is owner and founder.
Haunted by the drums and his experience as a drummer in several bands, Daniel has developed an exceptional rhythm and sound that no label will do justice. Terms such as deep techno or house don’t cover enough ground. The producer composes sets that exist in their own singularity; every single one being an individual story that creates its own atmosphere. Every set is textured by a whole variety of original tracks that he adapts with precise care and proper timing live on stage: dialogues, natural sounds and warm beats, all treated into a highly dynamic and unique set. Consequently, no live set will ever be identical.
Daniel has been working together with other musicians such as singer/songwriter Florian Wolff. The interaction between his organic electronic sounds and other musical instruments ¬– with elements of jazz, pop and rock – create a unique and strikingly complete entity. The dialogue between every piece and instrument is exciting in the ear of the beholder. In this sense, Daniel is an extraordinary creative, always striving for progressiveness in his work.
