Written during a stint living in Scotland, ‘Samson and Goliath’ sums up the raw feeling of being the underdog, encapsulating the idea that vulnerability and honesty with oneself are places of strength and catalysts for change. A powerful message that this artist hopes her listeners will resonate with throughout this difficult time in the world.

Now featuring viola, piano and guest vocal of King Cedar, this album version of ‘Samson and Goliath’ is the perfect first insight into the incredible body of work that ‘Notes for A Maiden Warrior’ will be.

ARTIST BIO
Hailing from the Armagh-Monaghan border, Dani Larkin is already being heralded as one of Ireland’s finest songwriters. Larkin has been creating music for several years, and is a well-known face on the live circuit in Northern Ireland. A storyteller by nature, her music is inspired by the folktales she was raised with, intertwined with elements of traditional melodies and rhythms from around the world in a seamless and timeless tradition.

Dani Larkin is a singer-songwriter and folk musician from the Armagh-Monaghan border. Her sound is inspired by the Irish traditional melodies she was raised with, her songs are reminiscent of Celtic folk tales.
