"Gloomy Sunday" is a song composed by Hungarian pianist and composer Rezső Seress and published in 1933, as "Vége a világnak" ("End of the world"). Lyrics were written by László Jávor, and in his version the song was retitled "Szomorú vasárnap" (Hungarian pronunciation ("Sad Sunday"). The song was first recorded in Hungarian by Pál Kalmár in 1935."

"Gloomy Sunday" was first recorded in English by Hal Kemp in 1936, with lyrics by Sam M. Lewis,[2] and was recorded the same year by Paul Robeson, with lyrics by Desmond Carter. It became well known throughout much of the English-speaking world after the release of a version by Billie Holiday in 1941. Lewis's lyrics referred to suicide, and the record label described it as the "Hungarian Suicide Song". There is a recurring urban legend that claims that many people committed suicide with this song playing."

di pertengahan tahun 2016 ini perception indie asal Bandung JIONARA, resmi mengeluarkan single kedua nya yang bertajuk “Pelepasan Adalah Pertahanan Terbaik”.Sebuah cerita yang di beri latar nada berdurasi 4 menit lebih, namun didalamnya terkandung kedewasaan konten seperti telah melewati 4 triwulan lebih.

“Pelepasan adalah pertahanan terbaik“ memberi sudut pandang lain dalam memaknai perpisahan. Bukan dengan meratap, karena sebetulnya manusia bisa memilih untuk tidak menetap. Bukan pula dengan berlagak kuat menertawakan, karena seringkali kognitif dan afektif mungkin saling berlawanan. Cukuplah berusaha kembali berjalan kedepan. Tak harus tergesa berlari, karena melepaskan itu butuh energi dan bukan kompetisi.
Pada single kali ini, JIONARA berharap semoga lagu ini bisa menjadi antidot untuk para penikmat perpisahan serta diterima di masyarakat dengan hati yang terbuka.

Tembang terbaru milik biduanita jelita asal Los Angeles, Leanna Rachel, ini berkisah soal hubungan asmara yang awalnya mesra berseri-seri tapi ternyata berujung pada patah hati. Segala kenangan manis yang dijalani bersama-sama mesti dilupakan, ditinggalkan sepenuhnya. Hati harus dikuatkan. Menjalani kehidupan sendiri menjadi pilihan. 

“Coffee” yang begitu saja tercipta di sepucuk hari kala Leanna tertimpa gelisah, paradoksal senang-sedih, kontradiktif pasif-agresif, mencoba meyakinkan kita bahwa perasaan duka tak mesti terus diratapi. Bahwa duka seyogianya dirangkul, dipeluk saja, terbuka diterima. 

Selain mengandung pesan positif—hidup tawakal dijalani, badai pasti berlalu—lagu setengah riang ini juga menjadi semacam pertanda bahwa Leanna serius mengakrabi Indonesia, Sabang-Merauke adalah rumahnya kini. Tahun lalu, 2016, misalnya, merupakan masa paling lama perempuan blasteran Amerika-Filipina ini tinggal di Indonesia. Lebih dari 1 tahun tanpa jeda. Di “Coffee” pula Leanna mulai memasukkan secuplik lirik berbahasa Indonesia. 

“Saya senang mendengar ketika orang berbicara dalam Bahasa Indonesia. Tentu saja saya girang saat menyanyi dalam Bahasa Indonesia. Bagi saya, semua pengalaman itu terasa alami dan cair.” 

"Saya masih belajar agar bisa lebih lancar, makanya saya hanya memasukkan satu verse saja sebagai permulaan,” ujar Leanna semringah. 

Pun “Coffee” menegaskan pekatnya “Selera Nusantara” di diri Leanna sebab seluruhnya direkam di Bali serta para partisipan adalah musisi anak negeri yaitu Noriz Kiki (drum) serta Edi Pande Kurniawan (bas) dengan melibatkan produser sakti mandraguna Dadang Pranoto.
