It’s actually funny to think about that my very first pick on Instagram ever was from Fusion in 2012. I try to think about all the incredible memories this festival has given me over the years. The friendships that were forged there, the romances that were started there, long nights and even longer mornings, talking, laughing, dancing. It feels quite surreal that I was there this year, playing the biggest stage! I’ve asked myself a million times, is this a dream? I’ve seen so many artists I love, admire and adore playing Turmbühne, some of the biggest names in the industry. Rødhåd, Ben Klock, Kink, Nastia, Solomun. It was a little intimidating and humbling, I was nervous and excited at the same time. What an honor to be trusted to keep this massive floor going. This was without doubt the most important set of my career.

A sunrise to remember – forever 🌄

And what can we say… it was a dream come true. ✨

With Lärzklopfen, goosebumps, and a healthy dose of nerves, we stepped up – and were carried by you, the crowd who gave it all.
You felt it. You lived it. You danced it.
We felt you. 🥹

Somewhere between night and day, between bass and sunrise, something happened that words can barely describe…
Pure magic. A symphony of the senses. 🪄❣️

We are deeply thankful and humbled to have shared these moments together – as a couple, as a DJ duo, and as part of this wild, loving Fusion family.

Live recording of my hybrid live/DJ opening set at Fusion Festival, Sonnendeck – Thursday 16:00–17:00.

This was my first show with the new setup, combining live handpan and djembe with DJing – and it was an absolute joy. The sun was blazing, the crowd was glowing, and the energy was pure magic.

Massive thanks to the Fusion crew for building this one-of-a-kind festival, and to the 3000Grad crew for the invitation, the beautiful stage, and the improvised parasol that saved the handpan from melting.

The handpan tracks 'Ouvertyre' (intro) and 'Eltanin' (starting at 21:32) are productions I wrote and produced for my electroacoustic band https://soundcloud.com/norlyzmusic. With NORLYZ we combine the warmth and fragility of acoustic instruments with the precision and power of the electronics: captivating grooves rich in fine sonic details, inspired by techno, jazz and global sounds.
