White Classic Orchestra (2022 Redux)

After roughly three years I've finally returned to remixing! This new track is from one of my favorite video games ever - Shovel Knight!

Right from the get go this was a game that marveled me with how deliberate it's design was and how it got so many elements down to a science, but it wasn't until the second level, Lich Yard, until I realized I was in for something truly special in all of it's atmospheric glory. As it happens, Lich Yard also contained my favorite track in the entire game - La Danse Macabre. The song has never left my head ever since I had first heard it, the lovely melodies and arpeggios still ring in my head.

Roughly a year later after having first played it, I felt like paying a tribute to this gem of a tune, and in experimenting with new things I had one hell of a time in making this. Shovel Knight is a game that defines inspiration for me, in terms of the way it was done, what it represents and what it is. I hope you enjoy the song just as much as I did making it!

Whoops, looks like this remix is a week late, but I can explain why! I actually had made a full, completed remix of Scorch N' Torch from Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, but the DAW I work with decided to glitch up and eventually corrupt the whole thing to the point where saving it or even working on it was no longer an option. I might get back to that song one day, but for now I needed a cheerful tune to ease the pain of losing that remix! I first heard this song in a wii game called We Ski, a game also developed by Namco. I've had this catchy tune in the back of my head ever since and have finally decided to remix it! Hope you guys enjoy!
