After countless hours spent chopping up vinyl, laying down basslines, tweaking synthesizers and banging on drum pads I'm proud to present "I'm Gone". This album aims to bring back the soulful sounds of the past while maintaining a bass-heavy modern feel. I'm especially happy with two tracks on the album which feature my friend Willdabeast (of Snug Harbour and Michal Menert Big Band). Will laid down some soulful horns, flute and a few other instruments to take my sample-based beats to the next level. 'Bhangra Saanj' is the culmination of a long-standing wish for a collaboration between SCI and Beats Antique. Michael Kang, David Satori and Sidecar Tommy all share a particular affinity for West African, Middle Eastern and Eastern European music... as well as funky stringed instruments, whether it be bouzouki, saz, ngoni, violas or electric mandolins. Once Kang visited Beats’ studio in Oakland, the track took to life, and 'Bhangra Saanj' was born.

Papa Skunk is an electronic music producer from Chicago, IL and a member of the Mile High Sound Movement. He specializes in a unique form of glitch hop, with elements of electro house and dubstep that have made crowds across the country dance the night away. Since starting the project in late 2010, Papa Skunk has performed at concerts and festivals from coast to coast and keeps his fans coming back by for more. He has also released music on the biggest labels in glitch hop including 1320 Records, Adapted Records, Simplify Recordings, and Tycho Records. Following a free EP and tour in fall of 2012, Papa Skunk charted on Billboard's Next Big Sound chart. This chart was created in order to indicate the fastest accelerating artists across all music sites that are most likely to become the next big sound.
