This set blends early 90s house vibes with breaks and some after-party-friendly gems. Recorded live, it’s a true throwback to the roots of Black Pomade and DHP's journey, growing up together in the suburbs of Milan, where back then they played various local clubs and held a residency at the legendary, now-closed Jail Club. 

Despite Black Pomade relocating to Lisbon and DHP staying in Italy, the two still collaborate whenever possible—whether for releases on Black Pomade's Whoopee label or for b2b sets like this one. The music keeps the bond strong, and playing together always brings that raw energy and fun.

Artists’ bio:

Black Pomade is an italian DJ and producer. Founder of the Ruínas collective and the Whoopee party series, he’s now split between New York, Lisbon, and Milan.
Heavily influenced by the NY Disco scene and the Chicago House originators, he's known for his melting pot of analog synths, groovy basslines, and syncopated beats.
His sets travel through lots of House, Disco, and Acid records, filling the dance-floor with high energy and big smiles.
Between 2021 and 2023 he ran a residency at MusicBox Lisbon focused on connecting the Italian scene with the Portuguese one. Besides his regular shows in Lisbon and Milan, throughout the years he had the chance to bring his sound around Europe and Asia, playing in places Bangkok, Seoul, Tokyo, Osaka, Vienna, and Sofia, among others, sharing the line-up with artists like Emmanuelle, Kamma&Masalo, Hunee, Don Carlos, Satoshi Tomiie, and the living legend Nicky Siano. He also contributed to renowned podcast series, such as SlothBoogie, Discoteca, and Histoires de Piscines, and radio shows in Melbourne, Pittsburgh, Skopje, São Paulo, and Ibiza.
Black Pomade released music on Last Forever Records, Rollover Milano Anything Goes, Stereo Ferment, Modmotif, Dig This Way Records, Youngbloods, and on vinyl for Martino Edits and Windmill Re-Edits. In 2023 he launched the vinyl-only edit series Manzo Edits and for 2024 he has upcoming releases scheduled on Whopee Rec.

DHP aka Life Dee
Valerio, also known by his stage name DHP aka Life Dee, is an Italian DJ and producer born in 1990. His passion for music began at the age of 11, when he started experimenting with cassette tapes, mixing his favorite tracks. His fascination with dance music grew when he discovered One More Time by Daft Punk on MTV in 2001, a pivotal moment that ignited his love for house, techno, and big beat.

Over the years, Valerio honed his DJ skills, performing with the collective MadMonk and producing music influenced by his favorite genres. After a brief hiatus, a trip to Berlin and Prague in 2020 inspired him to return to music, releasing mixtapes and new productions.

From 2020 to 2022, he shared the decks at the iconic 49 da ZDB in Lisbon and at private events alongside his friend and fellow DJ, Black Pomade. In 2023, his tracks “Ray Sings to the Hop” and “Oh...Money!” were featured on the vinyl release Manzo Edits, the latter also being a collaboration with Black Pomade.

Valerio’s distinct sound is inspired by old school American house and characterized by his energetic, bass-heavy approach. His EP “Da Bass, da Beat, and da Groove”, released on Whoopee Records, highlight his ability to craft bold, dancefloor-ready music that captures the spirit of his DJ sets.

OC PROGRESSIONS part 2 Dannx & Marsii

Daniel Plata AKA Dannx, nacido en Bogotá, Colombia, es un artista versátil que ha sabido adaptarse a diferentes corrientes musicales a lo largo de su carrera. Bajo el alias Dannx, se enfoca en la creación de música más profunda y orientada al house, con un enfoque en formatos digitales. Por otro lado, como Daniel Plata, explora un sonido más underground, abarcando estilos como techno, house, electro y breaks, con un especial interés en la música distribuida en formato vinilo.

Comienza su carrera como DJ y productor en la Escuela Moderna de Música (EMM) entre 2013 y 2014, tiempo durante el cual realizó sus primeras presentaciones en reconocidos clubes de la escena bogotana, tales como Vlak y Armando Records, entre otros.

A principios de 2017, Daniel decide expandir sus horizontes y viaja a España, donde comienza a tocar en prestigiosos clubes como Mondo Disko y Pelícano en Madrid, y City Hall, Razzmatazz, Go Beach, Mad radio, Recreo y Drome en Barcelona, entre otros. 
Se establece en la ciudad de Barcelona, donde funda los colectivos PRISSMA y SONATA, dedicados a la gestión de eventos electrónicos y al apoyo de talentos nacionales e internacionales.

A lo largo de estos años, Daniel ha lanzado 6 EPs que exploran un estilo minimalista, siempre con un enfoque viajero que busca transportar al oyente a nuevas dimensiones sonoras. Abrió las puertas en la escena rumana, llevando sus producciones a sellos como Bedroom Records, Yaww Recordings, Hardcutz Recordz y Stig, entre otros.
