This is a song I wrote for Finley when I heard the news of her tragedy. Finley was in a dental procedure at 3 years old and was left unresponsive on the table from too much sedation for more than several minutes without oxygen. She went into a coma and eventually passed away. I wrote this song before her passing and sent it to the family. They played it for her before she left us. Whether or not she truly heard the song or not, she deeply impacted me and inspired me to create this song. This is a song we wrote in and recorded in my bedroom (acoustically) about being away from home. At the time, we were talking about missing our families and how the life of a musician pulls you in so many directions and when you are away from home, you miss alot of things. Birthdays, Funerals, First Words, and so much more. This is a song we wrote for our families and our little nieces and nephews. I hope you all enjoy it.
