Some may remember last times hits like "special 4 u MJ" well if you remember it's the same guy.

DB - Are You That Somebody

My name is Danny B I am a returning DJ originally from south London but now residing in west Sussex.

I was born in Croydon in the early 80's and had a wide mix of musical influences in my life from my mum and stepdads side of the family it was anything from Michael Jackson, T Rex,
Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Sex Pistols to name a few, but when I went to my aunts it was reggae, ragga, soul which I guess opened my eyes to bassline music.
But it wasn't really until the early 90's that I was influenced heavily on electronic music (I was still in my GnR phase then) I started to hear tunes round mates houses with older siblings 
hardcore and happy hardcore, bedrooms filled with labrynth and fantasia posters I took the sound in but I guess it wasn't until I heard the Prodigys single charley that I started to take note 
and with that there was the birth of cable television in the UK so access to the original (Box, MTV) music stations where seasames treat and SL2's on a ragga tip were pretty much daily staples 
until 93 when this straight laced kid went to secondary school.

I got into DJ'ing around 94-95 not with my own equipment as I couldn't afford it but round a mates house he was into Uk garage and what was following in speed garage, I pretty much loved jungle (and the prodge) 
but was coming around to this new sound and by the time I had aquired my own decks had built up an array of records from garage and 2 step to jungle and DnB.

I DJayed on a pirate station a few times and a couple of local pubs but it wasn't really going anywhere and there was a lot of emerging talent around and a lot of who you know not what you know so that along with
an unforeseen circumstance meant I had to give up what I had, I always kept a listen out on the scenes and with the emergence of PC DJ software played and mixed MP3s just to amuse myself.

I'm still playing stuff where I left off really and with some of the newer DnB (jungle and jump up)
