As our music community grows bigger, we filled up a cosy downtown bar in Kyiv - to celebrate the good vibes and meet like-minded people.

Recorded in the heat of the night, this set goes from eclectic drum rhythms with live percussion to synth-flavoured melodies.

The performance was closed with with a live acapella mash-up, featuring vocals from "One more time" - as a tribute to my biggest musical inspiration and the best electronic music duo ever.

After garnering widespread recognition with projects on the likes of Stil Vor Talent & This Never Happened, she continued to turn heads with her debut on XYZ : a vivacious remix of Monarke's Otherside. Big sounds come to the fore on her first Selectors mix, propelling energy with her exquisite brand of melodic techno.

It's really hard to describe what happened that day, after 40h of travelling, I finally got to El Sitio Venao, 30mn before my NYD sunrise set, the vibe was exquisite, full of love and excitement, the setting was one of the most beautiful thing in the world, I went all in, took them on a journey, and well... This set happened 😍 Playa Venao always delivers, it was a moment out of time and I'm honored and humbled to present it to you. 'Modeplex is a DJ and techno producer from south Germany. Raised in a musical family, Dave, which is his real name, have always been surrounded by instruments, music and records. Therefore in his early twenties, he started doing events and getting in touch with promoters and bookers.

Modeplex has developed a very personal way to compose, where different musical genres and scenes are the perfect ingredients to give birth to a wholesome kind of techno and deep house.

He takes inspiration from life situations, events happened in his past or anticipated for his future and condenses all those emotions to experiment with different sounds and recordings. That's the reason why he's able to create songs that convey genuine feelings. Each track created by Modeplex has to have a deep sense of character and soul. That's why he applies a vast number of ideas, emotions and algorithms to his creative process. He also recognize the importance of cooperations, given that there is a lot to learn and making music with other artists is more fun anyway.'

Friday the 13th is commonly regarded with suspicion, however at Gospël the energetics of this day translate into even wilder revelry than usual. This was absolutely the case in December of last year when Layla Benitez closed out the night.

She brought her characteristic intensity to the stage and maintained the energy of the room to an extent beyond anyone's expectation.  Her selection consisted of tracks with epic dynamics, exciting organic percussion, massively impactful synthesizers, and savory syncopation throughout.  

Those who could not stop dancing should have eventually grown exhausted, yet the high vibrational spirit of her mixing inspired movement until closing.
