In collaboration with THE POINT CDC and NOCD-NY, Bronx-based artist Danny R. Peralta will convene a series of cultural art engagements to celebrate the milestone anniversary of the Hunts Point Fish Parade and Summer Festival (FPSF). “Honoring the March” will bring together the individuals who have led the Fish Parade and Summer Festival, to once again pay homage to the community that continues to build a more just and equitable peninsula for all. Inspired by the rich history of the FPSF, Danny will lead participants through the use of photography, audio interviews, and art workshops toward the creation of life-sized photo murals. These collaborative pieces will be placed along the parade route leading up to the FPSF on Saturday, June 15, 2024.
