As Brooklyn-based band Underground System gears up to release their highly-anticipated debut album 'What Are You' via Soul Clap Records, Mixmag unveils a new taste of what to expect in the form of a sexy dancefloor cut titled 'What's It Gonna Take'.

Comprised of Peter Matson on guitar and sampling, Domenica Fossati on lead vocals, flute and percussion, Yoshio Kobayashi on Drums, Jon Granoff on bass, Lollise Mbi on shekere and background vocals, Olatunji Tunji on congas, Morgan Wiley on synthesizers and keyboards, Underground System is described as "an ever-evolving convergence of musical and cultural influences." With such a diverse collection of artists, their music touches on a variety of styles including afrobeat, new wave, dance music and contemporary classical performance, proving this crew can explore any sonic landscape. This aspect is clearly displayed on their debut album, showcasing a unique approach not commonly found in today's industry.

Premiere: Underground System 'What's It Gonna Take'

Hold Up ft Kendra Foster is the breakout first single on Lonely C’s (aka Charles Levine of Soul Clap) debut album, Charles & Tribulations. Foster, known as a multitalented force of singer/songwriter who's toured the world for over a decade with Parliament-Funkadelic, won a grammy for her co-writing on D’Angelo & The Vanguard’s Black Messiah, most recently set forth as a solo act with her 2016 eponymous sophomore album. This may be Kendra’s first foray into house music, but she’s no stranger to the groove. This is a dance-floor classic in the making, already receiving powerful response from crowds at Soul Clap’s DJ sets. On Hold Up, Foster sings, “It's a sad and sorry thing if you gave all you got, its the day of reckoning and you ain't got a shot!”. Life tends to reveal its lessons in enigmatic ways — this fundamental story, paired with Lonely C's strong rhythm, huge analog chords, and powerful baseline, serves up a dish of steaming hot empowerment! Remix duties are handled by none other than Chicago legend and member of The Chosen Few DJs, Mike Dunn, who brings us even deeper with his signature added vocal licks and swung melodies. HOLD UP!

Daniele Bucca as Danny Vice is a Sicilian dj-producer and sound designer.
He started with a music production software founded in a pack of cereals and in 2006 he bought his Pioneer cdj 200.
He loves to explore and research sounds, playing eclectic music, a crossover between house, ethnic and funky sounds. 
He likes social themes and football.
Graduated in Literature, Music and Show @ La Sapienza Roma, in 2008 he lived an unforgettable experience : runner up at national NotteInsonne DJ Contest at 18 years old. Then his first release with Francesco Farfa' s label and the residency on his radioshow on Pioneer DJ Radio.
Among parties he played @ Ministry of Sound London, Sensation Italy and the Hot Circle Festival Tunisia.  
Nowadays he's on air with his recording project "Mediterraneo" on NTS Radio.
Always between concept and entertainment.
