Danny and Aki are a Dublin-based experimental folk duo who combine influences from Irish and Nordic folk music to create a unique rich and textured sound.

In her four-star review of their 2012 debut release, Siobhán Long of The Irish Times described their playing as "...pushing the music ever further into open spaces where, with each listening, something fresh reveals itself." (The Irish Times - Friday, August 24, 2012)

Danny Diamond is a Dublin fiddle with a strong musical background – his parents, Dermot and Tara are well-known as traditional musicians. He is a member of the band Mórga, with whom he released albums in 2009 & 2013; with Mórga has performed with the band at numerous music festivals in Ireland and Europe, including Ballyshannon Folk Festival, Tonder Festival, Shetland Folk Festival et c. Danny's music has been featured on television and radio programmes for BBC, RTÉ and TG4. He lives in Dublin and works for the Irish Traditional Music Archive.

Aki is a multi-instrumentalist and visual artist based in Dublin. Aki has played and studied various styles of music including rock, classical, traditional Irish and experimental music. Over the years he has played in various line-ups that have shared the stage with such well-known acts as Altan and Liam O’Flynn. He has also composed music for short films.
